Minute Commentary

Pat Cilliers is pinged at scrum time and Boshoff lines up another kick at goal. He lands the PENALTY and that is FULL-TIME! The Lions have thrashed the Stormers in a manner that surely no-one predicted! The home side thoroughly deserve the win as they played clever tactical rugby, took their chances and defended superbly to keep the Stormers scoreless and outsmart their opponents in the second half. As for the men from Cape Town - it looks like they have lots of work to do if they are going to be a force in this year's competition. They persisted in kicking to the corner and setting up line-outs from penalties but it consistently left them empty-handed as the Lions read their predictable patterns with ease. The Stormers will need to work on their accuracy on attack and at the breakdown but the Lions are flying high and have two wins from two. Remember to join us for Sunday's game between the Waratahs and the Force for more LIVE COMMENTARY.
