The Blues setup a line-out 25m out and pick and go to run down the clock. They keep it going and do so successfully until they milk a penalty! Hickey lines up the shot from in front and lands the PENALTY. That's FULLTIME at Eden Park! The Blues have secured a bonus point win while the Crusaders go away with nothing. The Crusaders were cruising with a 14 point lead towards the end of the first half but a four-try blitz in 13 minutes from the Blues turned the match on its head. 15 points and an assured performance from young Simon Hickey led the Blues to a good win. The Crusaders can't win their own lineout though and the Blues clear. The men from Christchurch attack once more but are seriously running out of time now - and are penalised for Sam Whitelock holding on.


The Crusaders are really desperate to score again soon to keep the game alive but Rob Thompson knocks on and the Blues have a scrum. Angus Ta'avao collapses the scrum and the Crusaders kick for touch, finding it 25m out from the Blues' line


Taylors adds the CONVERSION


The Crusaders dominate the scrum and the ball shoots out. Heinz kicks it ahead but is beaten to the chase by Hickey, who has to dot it down behind his own line. 5m scrum. The Crusader attack from the scrum with a slick-looking backline move and Taylor offloads to Crotty who barges over to ground the ball for the TRY!


Willison clears to the halfway line and the Crusaders attack again, but Lee-Lo loses the ball in contact as their dire second half continues.


The Crusaders call another scrum and get penalised for pushing early. Very silly play with an extra man and the Blues can clear. The Crusaders run it back and make progress into the Blues 22 until a wayward pass from Lee-Lo beats Ben Funnell and Todd and goes into touch


The Crusaders call for a scrum and Read goes from the back. It's another penalty - this time against Luatua and he gets a YELLOW CARD for the team's repeated infringements


The Crusaders find touch 5m out and maul again. It doesn't work out and they go to the backline. Heinz sells a dummy and almost wriggles over. Li intercepts the ball and runs 95m to score for the Blues. The referee blew his whistle for offside when he still had 60m to go through, but he still wants to check with the TMO... It is determined that Li was indeed offside. Penalty to the Crusaders 5m out


Weepu concedes a penalty for holding on and the Crusaders kick for the corner once again. They maul it up once again. Willi Heinz decides to use the ball and they spread it from side to side before Read is tackled into touch 5m out. They had a penalty advantage for Brendan O'Connor entering the maul from the wrong side


The Blues try to run it out from their own line and win a penalty for their efforts when a Crusader puts his hands in the ruck. Weepu takes the quick tap and they break out but a knock is forced just outside the Blues 22


The Crusaders kick for the corner and maul it again. It goes to ground just 1m from the line and is unplayable. Turnover to the Blues


Mealamu is offside ans the Crusaders need to decide what to do. They kick for the touch and find it just outside the Blues' 22. The Crusaders maul it up and gather pace until Read breaks away 10m out. Mealamu is penalised once more for entering the maul from the side


The men from Christchurch are penalised - firstly for pushing early at the scrum and then for lying on the ball. Hickey lines up a shot at goal from the left hand side 5m line. He nails the PENALTY


The Blues come right back at them and now look to build phases in the Crusaders 22. They pick and go, just 5m out. Braid has a go and then Peter Saili, but they are turned over - The Crusaders win a 5m scrum


The Crusaders try to run it out from their own 22 but are having trouble doing so. They batter away just 5m from their own line for multiple phases but eventually decide better of it and kick it clear


The Blues attack again with plenty of energy but a forward pass halts their charge. The Crusaders look rattled. On comes the vast experience Keven Mealamu and Tony Woodcock from the bench


CONVERSION - Hickey adds the extras


TRY - Saili pops it to Weepu who executes a deft grubber for Willison to run onto and he scores under the poles. Bonus point for the Blues


Taylor's restart doesn't go 10m as the errors mount for the Crusaders. The Blues attack from side-to-side before Willison hacks a kick ahead. Ellis does the clean up job but has to carry the ball over his own tryline. 5m scrum to the Blues

Luatua gathers the kick-off and Hickey boots it back down field but Taylor knocks on the high ball. Early scrum to the Blues. George Whitelock break early from the scrum but they play advantage. Hickey stabs a kick through and George Moala chases it up, gathers and scores the TRY! It was a bad mix up between Reynold Lee-Lo and Slade at the back that allowed Moala to collect


Taylor gets the second half underway! Matt Todd has replaced Richie McCaw at half-time.


The Blues are penalised for a skew feed and the half fizzles out after a lightening period of play in the last 10 minutes - Thats HALF-TIME. The Crusaders looked in complete control at 17-3 after 30 minutes but two tries in as many minutes has seen the Blues come right back into this encounter. We should be in for an exciting second half. TRY - From the kick-off the Blues have done it again! Patrick Tuipulotu catches it and offloads to Tevita Li and he sets off at tremendous pace! He beats Slade, McCaw and Tuitavake on his way to the tryline. What a couple of minutes!

TRY - The Blues strike back! They build the phases and they send it through the hands in the Crusaders 22. Peter Saili beats the tackle of McCaw and releases a superb offload to the flying Frank Halai, he sidesteps the cross-covering Slade and goes over under the sticks

The visitors attack from the scrum but are held up but are held up. 5m scrum now as the Blues are under all sorts of pressure. Reads gives to Ellis who releases the pass to Colin Slade to strolls through the defence to score the TRY!


The Crusaders attack strongly once more - with Flynn, Ellis and Nafi Tuitavake prominent. They patiently build the phases. 14 phases later the referee Mike Fraser gives the attacking side a scrum as the play becomes unplayable. Scrum to Crusaders 15m out


The Crusaders attack well as Read offloads for Ryan Crotty to make a break and offloads to Andy Ellis. The Blues scramble well and win a penalty. They kick to touch but Piri Weepu kicks into touch directly from the line-out


Braid concedes another penalty - this time for entering a ruck from the side. Taylor steps up once more, but drags the kicks away to the left. The Blues restart from the 22


The Blues undo their hard work as Braid is penalised from the kick-off for obstruction. Taylor adds the simple PENALTY


The Blues look to strike back and made good progress until Sam Whitelock doesn't roll away and kills the momentum of the attack. Hickey lines up the attempt from in front and he scores the PENALTY!


CONVERSION - Taylor lands the tricky conversion


TRY - The Crusaders counter-attack and spread it through the hands with great pace. Read produces a fantastic offload and it releases Flynn down the left wing. The hooker motors in 40m to score


Parsons' throw is wobbly and the Crusaders win the line-out. Taylor boots it clear and it's a huge kick. Line-out just outside the Blues 22. They win their ball this time and Hickie kicks


Taylor's kick is very short of the poles. It was on target though. Now the Blues win a penalty - Time Perry enters the ruck from the side. Hickie finds touch inside the Crusaders 22


Corey Flynn's throw is wayward and the Blues can attack. Jackson Willison runs it up on attack but Read is over the ball and forces him to hold on. Andy Ellis knocks on but they get another chance when Piutua puts his hands in the ruck. Taylor will have a kick at goal from 45m out on the right hand side


The Blues lose their line-out once more and Taylor boots it into touch. It's messy once again and play breaks down after a Crusaders knock on. Charlie Faumuina is penalised at the scrum and finally the Crusaders make it into Blues territory


Tom Taylor clears just outside his own 22. The Blues try a fancy line-out but it goes awry. The Crusaders can clear once more. Charles Piutua returns the favour with a high kick - and the home side get it back with a great counter ruck after Slade ran it up


The Blues concede a free-kick for scrumming early but the visitors don't make much of it. The Blues attack, through strong runs from Luke Braid and Hickey until Richie McCaw steals it away at the breakdown


Dominic Bird catches the kick-off and the Crusaders attack early. Play breaks down with a knock on and the Blues have a scrum about 30m out from the Crusaders line

The weather looks good in Auckland and we hope it stays clear to give the side's the best chance to throw the ball around


Kieran Reid is back to lead the Crusaders and will be a big boost for the visitors while Blues captain Luke Braid has been cleared to play today after being under an injury cloud this week


As a result of those losses both coaches have wielded the axe - most notably at flyhalf where both sides suffered from some wayward kicking. Tyler Bleyendaal has been replaced by Tom Taylor for the Crusaders and 20-year-old rookie Simon Hickey comes in at 10 for the Blues as Chris Noakes drops out


Both sides come into this match looking to improve after defeats in Round 2. The Blues went down 21-29 to the Highlanders while the Crusaders suffered a 10-18 reverse at the hands of the Chiefs


The last time these two sides met, the Crusaders enjoyed a 23-3 win in Christchurch. However last year's fixture in Auckland saw an impressive 34-15 win for the Blues.
