With four minuets to go the Hurricanes are trying to up the tempo, they get a penalty and kick for the corner - its knocked on though and the Brumbies send them down field


CONVERSION - Another good strike by Nic White gives the Brumbies a 13 point lead


TRY - sub McCaffrey is put into space after McCabe's great break and the front foot ball gives McCaffrey an easy try


Hirricanes hang on to the ball at half way, trying to find gaps with their forwards, A strong Brumbies rucking effort sees them turn possession over with McCabe bursting into the 22


Scrums are a bit of an issue now for the ref with new front rowers on - a number of resets are slowing down the games momentum.


Again the Hurricanes give possession away and the Brumbies push again, a hammering tackle by Jack Lam gives the Hurricanes a scrum for a knock on - they need to hold on to the ball


Brumbies still on attack but Jack Lam gets over the ball on his feet and wins the penalty for the 'Canes to relive some pressure


Brumbies keep pushing with patient build up towards the opposition line, Ben Mowen goes for a big stretch for the line but knocks it forward and the Hurricanes clear the ball


Both teams are probing at each others defense but with little giving way until Conrad is forced into a forward pass. Brumbies scrum deep in the 'Canes 22


'Canes are pretty static in the midfield as they slowly bash it up, this leads to a penalty for the Brumbies who can now attack from the opposition half.


'Canes win a penalty at line out time and there feels like a bit of a momentum shift with the 'Canes now attacking from a lineout in the Brumbies 22


Lionel Cronje on for the Brumbies makes a mistake in midfield letting the 'Canes hack it through. Brumbies defense are on hand to clear from the back.


Barrett looks to continue his good kicking display and gets the PENALTY.


Brumbies now try their hand at kicking for the Hurricanes backs which gives them a chance to run at the visitors, they earn a penalty for Moore diving over the ruck.


'Canes are not holding on to possession and are far more interested in kicking the ball on to the Brumbies back three


Brumbies go blind and try a little grubber in behind, its snapped up by the 'Canes and cleared but it only leads to Speight running it back hard.


Brumbies have another scrum in centre field and win a penalty for the halfback getting tackled with out the ball - lineout Brumbies ball in the 'Canes 22


Momentum is definitely with the visitors as Savea kicks it out on the full, Brumbies carry on probing, but lose it forward - scrum 'Canes


CONVERSION - White takes the ball back a long way but gets it over. 22 - 13 Brumbies


TRY -Kuridrani snatches the ball thrown flat against the line and hits a gap with a spin to dot down straight after half time.


Brumbies attack hard through McCabe who ghosts through the line, some slick backline play and bruising forwards get the Brumbies close to the line. Scott Fardy take it over the line but referee Joubert sends it up stairs and its held up - 5m scrum to Brumbies


We are back for the SECOND HALF, White kicks off deep.


White hits the post from way out on the left hand side. HALFTIME Brumbies up 15 - 13


Brumbies are back on the attack as Mogg breaks some tackles to get them on the front foot, they push towards the line with the forwards but its thrown way out wide where Colman is unmarked to score the TRY at halftime


CONVERSION - White turns a potential three points into seven.


A good scrum sees a TRY - by Jesse Mogg who throws a great show-and-go and is over the line with out being touched.


Some more scrappy play sees the Hurricanes lose the ball very close to the line, a penalty is awarded to the Brumbies. they decide to take a scrum in center field, 5m out


CONVERSION - Barrett continues his 100% kicking game


TRY - Peranara bashes over the line after some incredible basketball handeling on the Brumbies 5m line, questions over a foot in touch but its given


The Brumbies have another penalty for the 'Canes slowing the balls down and have decided to go for the posts. PENALTY - Nic White gets Brumbies off their duck


A deliberate knock down at a breakdown from Conrad Smith gives the Brumbies a penalty, they decide to go for the corner. Mowen takes as they maul it up and its over - but held up. 5m scrum to the Brumbies


Pat McCabe, on from the bench breaks the line and pushes up to the Hurricanes 5m line, a risky "Carlos Spencer" through the legs pass is thrown but its ruled forward and the Hurricanes clear from the resulting scrum.


'Canes turn the ball over but are too enthusiastic in their attack - they need to tighten up to hold on to the ball - scrum Brumbies.


PENALTY - Barrett, from a similar position, adds another 3 points. 6 - 0 to the 'Canes


'Canes earn a scrappy penalty for Fardy coming in from the side, Barrett to attempt another 3 pointer.


the Ref sees it as accidental and awards the 'Canes a 5m scrums as the ball was dotted down behind the line by the Brumbies. Peranara throws a shocking pass and it is cleared by the visitors.


Brumbies fumble the ball trying to force the pass and it is hacked down field - its gone up to the TMO as Coleman obstructs Barrett who is trying pick the ball up for the score, potential penalty try on the cards?


Hurricanes cant get their line out right as the Brumbies take possession and push up field again but don't go anywhere


Brumbies are probing the 'Canes defense but let themselves get isolated and are called for holding on, Hurricanes send it back down field for a line out on half way.


The Brumbies aren't with out their flaws as they kick out on the full for the second time giving the 'Canes another chance - they are unable to take advantage as Joubert awards a penalty to the Brumbies


The hurricanes are attacking well but their line outs are letting them down, they have lost three now. Luckily the Brumbies are called for offsides and the 'Canes can try again from another line out in the 22


PENALTY - Barrett calmly pops over the first three pointer of the game


Savea gets the Hurricanes backline going with a great return run. The 'Canes pushing into the Brumbies 22 earn a penalty for Mowen going off his feet.


Hurricanes manage to win a penalty from the scrum which was turned over by a great effort from the 'Canes forwards


Hurricanes are looking for a more tactical game, but loose the ball from the line out for a screw throw


Brumbies show intent by running the ball back from deep through Henry Speight


And were off! Barrett kicks deep down centre field.


Swirling winds are expected in the Cake Tin tonight, expect the fullbacks to be tested with some high up-and-unders


Hurricanes are weary of the Brumbies pack as well as their kicking game and will be taking a strategic approach to their first home game of the season.


Conditions in Wellington are fine and dry and should be conducive to running rugby which will suit both the Hurricanes and Brumbies exciting backlines.


The Brumbies have reshuffled their pack with the loss of veteran Wallaby David Pocock.
