Saia Fainga’a gifts the Cheetahs another penalty - now straight in front of the posts, Goosen lines it up.


Cheetahs earn some territory through a penalty thanks to some cynical play by Saia Fainga’a. They continue to probe, now in the 22.


Cheetahs turn now to work through the phases, they are also not afraid to throw it around.

Once again the Reds build up patiently and are making ground... slowly, they are not afraid to throw it around


The Cheetahs push hard in the scrums with Trevor Nyakane on and win a tight head.

TRY - James Hanson scores the bonus point try on half time, the Reds hooker with an incredible hand off against the touch line dives over the line.


Goosen lines up another kick and its over! PENALTY puts the Cheetahs behind by 2 coming up to half time

TRY - Feauai-Sautia gets the try after some quick thinking from Genia


Loose play again sees a comedy of errors from both teams it ends with a Reds penalty that is taken quickly, Feauai-Sautia is over - its gone upstairs...


Cooper misses a fairly simple penalty kick.


Some broken field play now from both teams who are swapping possession regularly sees the Reds getting close but advantage was being played for Benjamin being offsides.


Gill wins the ball at the ruck but then gives the penalty away for holding on, Goosen steps up on half way and once again has the distance, but not the direction.


Reds attacking from a line out are making ground as the Cheetahs slip tackles, it all comes to nothing as Boom Prinsloo wins a penalty for the Reds holding on to the ball.


The Reds are penalised at scrum time for pulling the scrum round, Goosen steps up for the PENALTY and its over. 17 - 17


Scrappy rugby and a break in play have slowed momentum to a game that started at 100 miles and hour - Jean Cook on for a blood replacement.


Reds try and slow down play with a maul from the line out which goes no where, its swung out wide and lost to the Cheetahs who now try their luck for the line.


PENALTY - Cooper puts the Reds in the lead after the Cheetahs were caught for pulling in the half back.


The Cheetahs lose possession after trying to bash their way up, the Reds hack it through but Benjamin is on hand to run the ball out of touch - Reds are probing hard


Reds kicking the ball a bit aimlessly gives the Cheetahs the ball back in their half.


Sadie chases a chip over the line and does well to control it, he stands up and is tackled losing it forward. Scrum Reds who earn a penalty from Oosthuizen for scrumming in.


Reds claim the 22 drop out but opt for a territory gain and grubber it out past half way.


Cheetahs earn a penalty on half way and Goosen backs himself with a great strike, but its pushed wide


CONVERSION - Great kick by Cooper right on the touch line. 14 - 14


TRY - Cooper makes up for his mistake by passing a looping ball to wing Rod Davis who steps in and out to score in the corner.


CONVERSION - Goosen almost messes up a simple kick by going under the bar - but its over!


TRY - Boom Prinsloo snatches a flat pass thrown by Quade Cooper and slides under the post.


The Cheetahs line out not firing at these early stages with one lost and one thrown screw at the front of the line. Reds on the attack in the Cheetahs pack


Cheetahs line under threat again but pressure is released when Simmons gives away a penalty that is not kicked out by le Roux


CONVERSION - Goosen strikes it sweetly and it sails over. 7 - 7


TRY Francois Venter is set up by a suspect charge down by le Roux who offloads to Goosen and he hands it back to the left wing, le Roux jinks infield drawing in the defense allowing Venter to dot down in the corner.


CONVERSION - Cooper pops over s simple one. 7 - 0 Reds


PENALTY TRY - A brilliant set move play sees Rod Davis sprint for the line before offloading to Feauai-Sautia who rolls for the line and dots down. Ryno Benjamin is sin binned for trying to kick the ball out of Feauai-Sautia hands as he placed the ball, its knocked out of his hands but the try stands.


Cooper starts off conservatively with a long kick into touch with the Reds winning the line out and winning a net gain in territory

Weather is looking good in Queensland, a warm fine night should hopefully let the likes of le Roux and Cooper running riot for their respective teams.


The Reds have made five changes to their team, no doubt in an attempt to improve from last week while the Cheetahs have lost Springbok Coenie Oosthuizen to a season ending neck injury
