Big tackle on Vermeulen by Read! hes knocked it on and the Crusaders have a Penalty - there is time for one more line out - Saders must secure the line out


Sailosi Tagicakibau with a great break but is pulled down inches short of the line! and its turned over, Crusaders try and clear their lines but its not out! Stormers back on attack


Stormers are desperate for a score now as they probe outside the Crusaders 22 - are they looking for a drop goal from Grant who is on at flyhalf?


PENALTY - Taylor holds his nerve to put the Crusaders in front with 5 minuets to play


Crusaders probing the Stormers defense making slow metres, Michael Rhodes in penalised for offsides and Taylor has a chance to snatch the lead.


Crusaders looking more up for it now as they halt the Stormers maul and win the penalty for the Stormers not wanting to release the ball.


Taylor cannot add the two point to tie it up, Crusaders are now only behind by two points


TRY - Kieron Fonotia on debut powers overs the line with the Stormers defense looking stretched for the first time


A sneaky move at the line out sees Ben Funnell making meters in the 5 metre channel, Crusaders on the front foot


Penalty at scrum time against the Stormers who buckle under pressure as the Crusaders go for the lineout


There is a flag out from the side line for foul play between Duane Vermeulen and Nepo Laulala - the referee is getting annoyed with the Crusaders for holding players back but it is just a warning


More scrappy play gives the Crusaders possession but its soon lost to the Stormers who go and lose it again by kicking it out on the full!


Stormers are looking to attack from a scrum in the Crusaders half but the scrums are requiring multiple resets - the crowd is getting impatient


PENALTY - Taylor has an easy kick to give the Crusaders another three points after going an hour with out a score


a great break by Heinz sees the Crusaders fall agonizingly short of the Stormers line again but they are awarded the penalty and wisely decide on kicking for posts.


The Stormers tactic is becoming clear as Catrakilis looks for territory, they want to try and hold out with a 10 point lead


Play has slowed down a bit with plenty of errors, Stormers win a penalty at the scrum and Catrakilis boots its into Crusaders territory - the Stormers stroll to the line out and are booed by the crowd for taking their time!


Better scrum from the Stormers puts the Crusaders pack under some pressure but they get the ball away and probe the steadfast Stormers line but it ends in a knock on


Catrakilis tries to keep the Stormers in the Saders half but overcooks it and its gone dead - Scrum to the Crusaders back in Stormers half


CONVERSION - Another simple kick for the Stormers no. 10


Some ping-pong now from the kickers ends with a TRY for the Stormers, Burger puts De Villiers into some space who chips over Slade for De Allende to run onto and score close to the posts.


The Stormers are looking more composed and are starting get some more ball to attack with even taking advantage of the Crusaders poor discipline with most of the penalties going to the visitors


PENALTY - Catrakilis has another easy conversion to give the Cape team a three point lead.


Stormers have a penalty as Jaco Taute is down in a lot of pain - looks like his shoulder. Sailosi Tagicakibau is on for the injured full back to make his first appearance for the Stormers


First real successful attacking scrum for the Stormers gives them some much need ball in the home teams half, Stormers making meters through the centers De Villiers and De Allende


Stormers playing for structured with a good maul off the lineout and a high up and under from Groom, Van Wyk is on hand to compete for the ball forcing the knock on - Stormers scrum in Saders half


Both teams pick up where they left off, Crusaders attack, Stormers defending and Deaon Fourie is over the ball winning a penalty for the visitors.


We are back for the SECOND HALF - lets see if the Stormers can hold off the Crusaders attack for another 40 minutes as Taylor kicks off!


Crusaders have one last go on attack before the half ends probing from the 22, Crotty grubbers to the in goal are and its awkwardly dotted down by the Stormers - HALF TIME in Christchurch and the Stormers defense has kept the game at 3 -3


Its the Crusader's turn to lose and opportunity from the line out as Michael Rhodes steals the ball but mistakes are the order of the day as Catrakilis kicks it out on the full


Wyatt Crockett ends the Stormers attack by getting his hands on the ball and Taylor can clear from the resulting Penalty


Another poor throw from Ntubeni but he gets away with it as the Crusaders knock it on at the lineout - scrum Stormers just outside the Saders 22


PENALTY - Catrakilis levels the score with an easy conversion.


Its inconclusive and the try is not awarded, referee goes back for the penalty against the crusaders for offsides and De Villiers points to the posts


Taute goes close near the posts, its recycled back and it looks as if Jean de Villiers may have forced this ball against the base of the post - its gone to the TMO


Taylor tries to clear his lines but its off the side of the boot, another chance for the Stormers who secure the line out and maul.


Lineouts continue to be a problem as this time the ball is stolen off the top but it is kicked away letting the Stormers push their way into the Saders half until Catrakilis has enough and grubbers for territory.


Ntubeni is not helping the Stormers attempts to fix their set play as he over throws giving the ball back to the Crusaders.


It all comes to nothing as the Stormers lose possession at scrum time yet again but from the resulting attack Stormers prop Malherbe contests for the ball and wins the penalty - Stormers clear the ball


The defensive work of the Stormers has been excellent forcing the home team into making mistakes in attack, Crusaders knock the ball and its now a scrum for the Stormers in a similar position - Crusaders not making much ground.


Taylor puts in a high up and under on half way and its called a knock on by Groom from the side line, the Crusaders line up left from the midfield scrum


The ref sends the play upstairs for suspected foul play, Owen Franks is penalised for holding Burger back who retaliated by slapping his hand - Penalty Stormers who can clear their lines after massive pressure.


The line out is sacked and the Crusaders keep bashing at the Stormers defense which is solid after 11 phases until the ball is deemed unplayable - another Crusaders scrum


Another penalty for the Crusaders at the scrum - not pushing straight, Crusaders choose a lineout


Saders have opted for scrum with their superior pack. Stormers defense is holding strong until Kobus Van Wyk shoots out the line and knocks the ball on


The Stormers survive the onslaught as a penalty is awarded to the Crusaders five meters out. the players are catching their breath as the medical team takes to the field for both teams


A sloppy pass by Burger trying to keep the ball in play lets the Crusaders hack down field, they are right on the Stormers line as the visitors defend desperately inches out!


Stormers getting close now, getting over the advantage line and into the Saders 22


Burger is his busy self winning the ball in a ball-and-all tackle - the Stormers now run at the opposition.


Finally the play opens up with the Crusaders throwing the ball around the backline but its very static - its going backwards so Heinz decides to kick up field


Its all very messy at the set phases as Ntubeni throws a skew lineout giving the Saders another scrum opportunity


A change in fortune at the scrums for the Stormers as Franks is now pinned for illegal binding - Catrakilis boots it downfield


The ball has become unplayable from the lineout maul and the ref awards another Saders scrum in a good position on the Stormers 22


The Stormers scrum in real trouble as Owen Franks destroys the visitors scrum earning another penalty just inside the Stormers half - the kick into the 22 opting for a full line out


The Penalty is not out and Dagg returns the ball back down field. there is some kicking exchanges which all comes to a head when Steenkamp puts in a strong shoulder to force a knock-on


Stormers get out of trouble with a line out steal from De Kock Steenkamp in their 22, they are awarded a penalty from the resulting play as the Crusaders are pinned for holding the ball on the ground


The Stormers are scrappy off their kick off and it leads to the first scrum of the game between these two gigantic packs. Its the Crusaders who win a penalty as Kitshoff loses his bind.

Burger is caught for not rolling away giving tom Taylor an early chance to get the first points of the game


A good showing at the maul for the forwards but as its thrown out wide the Stormers are isolated and a penalty awarded to the Saders.


An early mistake for the crusader who kick the ball out on the full giving the Stormers an early attacking chance


We are underway as Catrakilis kicks off for the Stormers


The Crusaders will be playing towards the North-Westerly wind in the first half after winning the toss but it should not have too much effect on the overall match


After a torrid week of bad weather in Christchurch which curtailed the training schedule of the two teams, it looks far warmer and dryer tonight, hopefully allowing some good running rugby for the likes of Israel Dagg and Gio Aplon


The Crusader are without giants of the game, Richie McCaw and Dan Carter while the Stormers have the services of Schalk Burger and new foreign import Sailosi Tagicakibau coming off the bench


The Crusaders have never lost three games in a row and will be doing everything to keep that record intact against a touring Stormers side that have only scored two tries in two games - both from rolling mauls.
