Join us for the final game of the weekend as the two best placed South African teams in the Sharks and Lions do battle in Durban!

CONVERSION - Pollard adds the 2 points and that's FULL TIME

TRY - Marcel van der Merwe gets the try with what could have been seen as a double movement try - but the points stand!

Bulls striving for a bonus point as Marcel van der Merwe stretches for the line - the referee want the TMO to have a look

The ball breaks loose and Piet Van Zyl hacks it down field it has to be carried over the line by the Blues to set up a 5 metre scrum for the Bulls - this should be the game

Blues are playing one off rugby and seem to have run out of ideas as they keep bashing against the Bulls solid defensive wall

Blues probing through multiple phases until Hickey attempts a chip which is scooped up by Marcel van der Merwe, this allows Pollard to clear

Blues look to kick for the corner again from a penalty, you feel they need to score now if they are to have a chance

The handling error count is starting to mount for the Blues as they knock on an easy pass - can the visitors carry on their late push to get something out of this game?

Pollard on for Potgieter slices a clearing kick but only because the Blues were offsides - he gets another chance and makes good ground

Blues rumbling into the Bulls 22 but JJ Engelbrecht is able to usher Steven Luatua strongly into touch

Blues attacking from their own half again and win a penalty for the Bulls not rolling away, they boot it down field

PENALTY - Potgieter kicks a straight, long one and takes the points buffer to two scores

Weepu costs his team a penalty for kicking the ball out of Flip van der Merwe hands and the captain decides to give Potgieter another shot

Potgieter misses it wide as the score remains 28 - 22

Bulls have a chance to negate the previous penalty as the Blues are now caught offsides, Potgieter steps up

PENALTY - Hickey get another one from a difficult position, its a six point game

Another Blues penalty for offsides and the Blues captain points for the posts to bring the game within a single score

The Blues are starting to have things go their way as they win a penalty at the scrum - it would be nice to have a completed scrum..

CONVERSION - Hickey puts the Blues within nine

TRY - George Moala was deemed not to have knocked it as it came off his shoulder, Pita Ahki is on hand to touch down for his first try on debut.

Hickey sends a deft little grubber through the defense but it looks as if George Moala has knocked it on over the line! - its sent up to the TMO to check where it came off

Blues having a crack at attacking now as they make a rare visit into the 22 of the Bulls, they earn the penalty for an early tackle from JJ Engelbrecht, Blues go for the corner - they have to really

Blues decide to go for the chip out of their 22 but it gives possession back to the Bulls, Potgieter goes for the drop but its partially charged down

Bulls knock it on and the Blues have to have a steady scrum here in order to clear their lines

Bulls about seven metres out and opt for the driving maul from the line out, its well set but going no where

Strong driving maul, this is more like the old Bulls team, its chipped through but collected by Halai - there was an advantage for the Bulls who opt for the corner

The Blues keep conceding needless penalties as Hougaard is on his feet and the visitors are caught for holding on, another chance for the Bulls from the lineout

PENALTY - Potgieter slots it easily

The Blues are under enormous pressure as they are penalised for not rolling away in fornt of the posts, an easy chance for Potgieter

Ndungane comes so close to getting his teams bonus point try but cant control it on the bounce in the in goal area

And we are back for the second half as Potgieter kicks off

Potgieter misses a tough one from the touch line and thats HALF TIME

TRY - Jan Serfontein is over in the corner after the Bulls slowed the ball down, drawing in defense

Bulls with some space out wide and Ndungane is brought down 10 meters short, then Potgieter is brought down 2 metres short! they need to be composed here

Luke Braid finds some space and makes a break before dropping it onto the boot, its a foot race for the line but Serfontein is the quicker and dots down for a 22 drop out

Blues happy to try and run it out of their half but they are not looking as dynamic as they usually do, maybe the highveld air is affecting them?

Bit of loose play from both teams ends in a knock on call by the referee against the Bulls, The Blues are under pressure but manage to get the ball away and Hickey boots it high into the sky

Blues scrums are looking far more steady now but Weepu's clearing kick is poor, Bulls line out in the Blues half

PENALTY - Hickey keeps the Blues in the competition. 4 from 4

Another Blues scrum and its far better (and straight) ,Stegman is penalised for not releasing from the resulting play allowing Hickey the chance to kick another one over.

CONVERSION - Easy kick for Potgieter right infront

TRY - the ball is scooped back from a ruck by the Blues but it rolls loose, Jono Ross is most aware and scoops it up to walk over the line

Blues get the phases going as they push into the Bulls 22, 14 phases sees Weepu throws the ball up for Ndungane to intercept but he doesn't get far

The Bulls now have their first scrum on half way but Hougaard is also pinned for putting the ball in skew, the ref is being very strict with this aspect of the game

PENALTY - Hickey slides one inside the right hand upright from a difficult position

Jugen Visser pulls off a great take out the air but the referee blows his whistle as he was playing advantage for offsides for the Blues, Hickey steps up...

PENALTY - Potgieter adds a penalty to his try, drop goal and conversion

Hougaard is tackled ball and all and it is lost forward, another opportunity for the Blues to try and steady their scrum but a penalty is awarded for not putting it in straight

Second scrum of the game is awarded to the Blues but they concede a free kick for not scrumming straight, Bulls on the attack

Bulls need to watch their discipline as they give away another PENALTY to Hickey who calmly slots it over

DROP GOAL - Potgieter drops back near half way and strikes the ball sweetly to give the Bulls another 3 points

Blues try a bump 22 drop out and it goes horribly wrong as the Bulls turn it over but they are going backwards

PENALTY - The blues strike back straight away as the Bulls are penalised from the kick off, Hickey pops over a good strike

CONVERSION - Potgieter converts his own try

TRY - Its a tighthead at the scrum Hougaard swings it to Jacques-Louis Potgieter, he takes an angled run and slips some defenders to go over near the posts

The referee is trying to impose himself on the scrums early, two resets so far

Ndungane involved again as he tries a difficult flip pass to Callie Visage who cant hold on with the line in his sight, first scrum of the game to the Blues defending their goal line

Ndungane gets in the way of a grubber and has a chance to run, play is opened up as the Bulls now can attack deep into the Blues half, they move it well through the hands and Ndungane gets close

Bulls are under a bit of pressure in their 22 but Jacques-Louis Potgieter is on hand to clear their lines, Blues continue to probe

The Blues are making all the early running testing out the home teams defense until they are eventually dragged out by Bjorn Basson

We are off as Simon Hickey kicks into the Bulls half for Ndungane to get a first touch in his hundredth game

Deon Stegmann returns to the Bulls pack to hopefully offer some more variation in the loose forwards while Jono Ross comes back into no. 8 with Grant Hattingh dropping out of the match day 22 all together

Akona Ndungane becomes the second centurion of the weekend as when he leads the Bulls out this evening, up against him is Blues Tevita Li who is only 18 years old and will receive his third cap when he runs out at Loftus

There has been a late change to the Blues pack with Kevin Mealamu who was set to start being replaced by James Parson due to a calf strain. Tom McCartney comes in on the bench

The field is rather damp due to the torrential rainfall on the highveld in the past week, the warm up watch was moved to the B fields in order to keep the Loftus pitch in prime condition but there is not any rainfall at the moment.

The differing styles of the Bulls and Blues should make for an interesting match up. The Bulls will be looking to pin the Blues back in their half through lots of tactical kicking forcing them to have a strong lineout while the Blues will be hoping to run hard with their powerful backline through the Bulls defense

Welcome to our coverage of the second last game of the weekend in Round four of Super Rugby where the Bulls host the Blues at Loftus. The Bulls looked tactically stronger last weekend with Jacques-Louis Potgieter at pivot but the Blues backline is one that appears very good at this early stage of the comeptition
