Stay with us for the final game of the Super rugby weekend as we head to Pretoria for the Sharks first away game of the season

Reds are going through the phases as they break into the Lions 22 with the hooter sounding in the background, the ball is held up in a maul and the Lions win possession and the match! that's FULL TIME

TRY - Skosan is over from a recycled ball after the lineout but the ref needs it to be sent upstairs, the TMO is happy and the try is awarded. CONVERSION - Boshoff puts the Lions out to a three point lead

Lions opt for the scrum with two forwards down for the Reds, penalty is awarded and the Lions go for another scrum, time ticks down as the scrum is reset, Genia poaches to ball out the scrum and another penalty is awarded! this time they opt for a lineout and maul it up

Lions set another maul on the Reds 22 as they look to get a try and take the lead, they are metres out now and eventually the ref has enough and another YELLOW CARD is dished out for Jake Schatz

YELLOW CARD -James Hanson on the receiving end after the ref issued a warning for repeated infringements at the break down, Lions look to take advantage of the extra man

Cooper still trying things as he goes for cross kick but it lands touch in goal so the Lions go for a 22 drop out and retain possession after its partially charged down

Lions look re-energized but a big tackle sees Dreyer loose the ball forward and the Reds have a scrum in opposition half

TRY - Great pace and power from Mapoe sees him cut open the reds defense after a long pass from De Klerk. CONVERSION - Boshoff brings them within four points

The possession turns into a penalty for hinging and once again they turn down another kick at goal and set the line-out, its a good maul as they march up field

The Lions are hoping for some more attacking opportunities but the game is very stop start as the Lions destroy a Reds scrum and earn possession

Game is getting scrappy again as we go from one scrum to another

Lions continue to turn down kickable penalties and opt for the line again, it ends with a Reds penalty however and they can clear

It;s a poor decision as the Reds win ball and clear their lines

It;s a poor decision as the Reds win ball and clear their lines

Another penalty for the Lions after the lineout and they once again opt for the lineout

De Klerk makes a good burst into the opposition half, the Lions are on the front foot and earn a penalty right on the reds 5 metre line - they kick to set up a lineout

PENALTY - Boshoff continues accumulating points in Super Rugby

Lions have a very kickable penalty and Whiteley decides on kicking for posts to try and make a dent into the Reds score

Reds playing a good territory game as Genia kicks behind the Lions back three, the Lions secure the ball and kick but Turner of the Reds kicks it out keeping the Lions pinned back

The Lions set a great maul that makes them about 10 metres, they break from the maul and probe for the line but its knocked on and the Reds clear

Boshoff attempts a drop goal on the run but it slides wide, the Reds take it quick

There is some confusion at the lineout as the refs whistle went but it was for time-on however the Reds stood still, now the Lions have a scrum in the Reds half

Cooper carries on from where he left off as he puts the ball out right on the 5 metre line for a pressure lineout for the Lions, they secure the ball but the kick is charged down

We are back underway as Boshoff kicks of short

PENALTY - Boshoff comes away with some points for the Lions and that's HALF TIME

Lions opt for another scrum after being awarded a penalty and the pressure is on as the hooter sounds, another penalty and the Ref is getting annoyed as he talks to the reds captain, Horwill, finally the Lions decide on a kick for goal

Lions get a break as the scrum possession is handed over to them for a skew put in, they gain some metres and earn a penalty for the reds not being back 10, captain Whiteley decides on a scrum

The Lions need to capitalize now after Boshoff sets their line-out on the Reds 22, the maul is looking good, but the maul is held up and possession is turned over

Reds are looking dangerous on attack again as they make metres with ease, it is only halted when Cooper throws a forward pass

TRY - Cooper finishes off a good piece of team play as he steps inside two players to waltz over the line and dots down under the posts. CONVERSION - its an easy two points

Lions set a driving maul but its knocked on and the Reds counter attack is effective as Skosan is forced out on the Lions 22, the Reds are getting over the advantage line with ease

The reds scrum is solid as they look for territory through Genia's boot - Lions lineout deep in their own half

Lions now on attack as they are also happy to throw the ball around but its the final passes that are letting them down as the Reds win a scrum from a knock on

Better scrum from the Lions now as they decide to attack from their 22 but it collapses into a game of ping pong, the Lions end up with a net gain in territory which becomes even better for the home team as they steal the line out

Lions lineout is not functioning well as the Reds have now stolen two, the scrums are also problematic, for both, as they require a number of resets

Reds are enjoying a lot of the possession and Cooper is looking keen to run as the ball is kicked about until Genia put the ball out in Lions territory

PENALTY - Cooper has an easy one to put the Reds back in the lead by 10

The Reds show their class with some quick hands for Dom Shipperley on the wing to stroll over untouched, but the ref wants to look for a knock on at an earlier ruck, the try is not awarded but the ref goes back for a penalty 5 metres out

The scrum is solid for the Lions again as Boshoff kicks a long distance PENALTY to get his team on the board

Lions now have a crack of running the ball out of their half and they do very well, it ends with Boshoff going for a cross field kick but it rolls out into the Reds 22

Aidan Toua is almost through but for a last minute, one foot grab from Courtnall Skosan, the Reds are asking a lot of the Lions defense now

TRY - Cooper poaches a try after the ball is lost in a ball in tackle from Cooper who is on hand to receive a pass and dot down under the posts, CONVERSION is good from Cooper

Willie Britz steals the Reds line out and they are given a penalty, Faf de Klerk takes it quick and shows the home teams intent

Boshoff tries his hand at a kick out of hand but it's out on the full and the Reds have an attacking line out on the half way line. There is a break in play as Franco van der Merwe is down

PENALTY - Cooper kicks over his first penalty to give the Reds the first points of the game

Reds turn the ball over and run at the Lions defense until they are awarded a penalty for Schalk van der Merwe interfering on the ground

We are underway in Jo'Burg as Quade Cooper kicks us off, the lions are happy to tun out of their 22

The weather in Jo'Burg is looking good after a few weeks of rain previously, the sun is shinning and conditions under foot are firm and fast - great conditions for running rugby

Today's match should be a competition between the Lions structured technical game with the show being run by Boshoff while the Reds game, also run by their flyhalf Cooper, will be one of flair and experimentation. if the Lions can close down Coopers space expect the Reds to be strangled out of the match

The Lions have the points machine Marnitz Boshoff at flyhalf and will hope his boot will keep the score board ticking over while the Reds will be relying on their half back pairing in Genia and Cooper to spark them into scoring a few tries so that they can get some points out of their African tour

The Lions are coming off some impressive form after beating the Blues in a clinical performance last week while the Reds had a stuttering game against the Sharks. The Lions are definitely the form team in this game but the Reds boast quality players such as Will Genia and Quade Cooper and should never be written off
