Last roll of the dice for the Reds who have a scrum after the hooter in the Force's half - the Reds build up play until Cooper goes for a drop goal to snatch a draw... but it is wide! Force win a thriller!


Force just outside the Reds 22 as time ticks down - can the Reds hold on? TRY! Hayward spots the smallest of gaps in the line and goes through, he still has two to beat and manages to slip past both of them and score under the posts! the CONVERSION is good from Hayward


Reds searching for more territory now as the Force run it from half way - they are looking for a try now - the Force are starting to compile the phases


The Reds earn another PENALTY through an error from the Force, Mike Harris steps up to make it a four point game with six minutes left.

PENALTY - Reds strike back to get the lead back through Mike Harris with 10 minutes to go


DG - Ebersohn skuffs a terrible drop goal but its manages to scrape over and the Force snatch the lead back


A bad clash in the air as Placid takes out Hayward in the air but he has come off far worse as he is rolling around in pain - the referee has gone upstairs to check for foul play, the ref is happy that is not a card but still penalises the Reds as Placid walks off the field to be subbed


Reds have a chance to strike back straight away as they earn a penalty in a tough, but kickable position. the PENALTY kick is good from Harris


TRY - After some patient build up the Reds defense was too tight to the ruck leaving a massive hole out wide - Jonah Placid shoots out of the line and the ex-Red Luke Morahan is over the line untouched. Hatward takes over the kicking duty from Ebersohn but he can't add the extras


Play is broken now and the ball is swung wide to Nick Cummins who runs down the line until he puts in a chip, the follow up pressure forces the Reds to dot down behind there own line for and 80 metre turn around, Force scrum 5 metres out


Ball is being kicked around from both teams, Genia looks for touch but it is short and now the Force run it in, they are awarded a penalty in a kickable position and Ebersohn lines up but he misses another one


Reds are running hard now opening up their play and giving the ball some air, its causing the Force to suffer under the quicker pressure, Reds are given a penalty and Mike Harris lines up the PENALTY kick as Cooper has hurt his leg


Force choose the penalty to take a slender three point lead through Ebersohn's boot but it hits the post and the Reds have a chance to counter through Horwill but the Force captain Hodgson is able to affect a penalty at the break down


The Force scrum is steady as Ebersohn bash the ball up, 30 metres out now as the Reds consolidate their lines, Morahan beats a tackle with a spin and now the Force are closer with a penalty advantage


Reds are throwing themselves on the Blue wall of defense, smashing the ball up but it does cause the ball to loose as Cooper tries to find a gap - its Force scrum deep in their own 22


Force are having a go at attacking but it goes no where and Beau Robinson is able to win a penalty on the ground - the Reds look for territory to set up an attacking lineout


Cooper tries and audacious offload but its left his team under pressure as the Force push for the Reds line, the Reds are able to maintain possession and kick the ball down field only for Ebersohn to be bundled into touch


We are back underway as Ebersohn kicks deep


There is time left for a Reds lineout before half time, it's secured and the Reds go for a run inside their own half, they are awarded a penalty in a tough position and Cooper will attempt to tie up the game at HALF TIME. The PENALTY is well struck and over!


Force finally have an attacking opportunity with Cotterall back on the field but the Reds are holding fast, Force edging closer until quick hands give Ben McCalman a TRY. The conversion by Sias Ebersohn is pushed wide


Reds get half a metre out through Rod Davies but once again the the defense is stretched and Cooper swings it wide, he finds James Slipper with a three man overlap but he is not having it as he sells a dummy against his front row counter part, Pek Cowan to go over for the TRY. Cooper kicks over a tough CONVERSION


Froce now have a defensive line out to contend with, they secure the ball and try running it out for a bit until Hayward clears for touch - Reds still using the yellow card advantage in attacking as they have about three minutes left of Cotterall being off


Reds put pressure on the scrum as well as the scrum-half and they snaffle possession as Cooper makes a bust down field, they have numbers out to the right so Lucus decides on a grubber but Rod Davies cant gather

Reds building up some phase play now as they inch their way into Forces' half. Cottrell puts in a big hit for the Force, but the ruck penalty is given to the Reds who can finally try and get some points on the board - the referee has gone upstairs to look at a string of foul play and he decides that the big Cottrell tackle is deemed to be a shoulder charge. YELLOW CARD for Cottrell


Like clockwork the Reds offer up another kickable penalty for the force and Ebersohn steps up for another PENALTY kick


Reds are securing the ball off the kick off but they cant keep the possession as the Force turn over the ball at the ruck, another Force penalty and this time they can clear the pressure and set a line out deep in Reds territory


Pek Cowan has a good run after busting a tackle, the Force are now deep in Reds territory as they look to take advantage of broken field play - the referee is playing advantage and it's another gift three points for the Force. Ebersohn has another easy PENALTY kick


Reds defense holds out for over 16 phases but they are penalised eventually for being offsides and the Force deserve their shot at goal. Ebersohn slots the PENALTY kick


Some aerial ping-pong comes good for the Force who make a net gain as Ben Lucus kicks the ball out just inside the Reds half - the Force attacking now through the centre but they are not going anywhere

The scrums are a good contest between the two teams as Mathewson clears the ball onto the 22 - Reds take the ball at the back and attack into the Force's 22, the ball is hacked back towards the Reds half as the Force earn a penalty from some great pressure


Cooper puts in a brilliant little grubber that goes almost sideways to the wings, its picked and the Reds continue to push - another great break from Ben Tapuai down the line sees him out it on the boot for Rod Davies who is able to gather but as he rolls for the line Luke Morahan is able to dislodge the ball and its knocked on over the line


Ben Tapuai is clean through after a well placed pass from Cooper, he is unable to get past the last man and the ball ends up getting knocked on by a force player, the Reds scrum is solid but the Force are awarded a penalty and they can clear their lines


Reds have an early penalty near the centre of the field after a high tackle from a Froce player, Cooper sets up a long distance penalty and it's short


We are underway at the Suncorp stadium as Cooper kicks off


Weather is looking good in Brisbane and that will make both teams happy as they look to run the ball - there is not too much wind to speak of, should making kicking for posts easier for both Ebersohn and Cooper


The Reds play-makers in Cooper and Genia have really started firing in the last few games and will be looking to take the ball to the line against the Force. Reds have also been hit by many injuries but hopefully that doesn't make it any less of a spectacle


Welcome to Brisbane where the only derby of the weekend is an Australian one where the Reds take on the traveling Force. The Reds were able to pip the Stormers last weekend while the Force had a bye, the visitors will be hoping to continue on their good run of form before the bye and look to shake off the rust straight away
