The Lions get a penalty at the scrum now as Kitshoff is penalised. The Lions take it quickly and then shortly afterwards they get another penalty. Finally the Stormers win a penalty and then send it wide where Vermuelen runs it up. The visitors force a turnover but Rudi Mathee knocks on and that is FULL TIME! A very scrappy second forty minutes followed a very entertaining and enterprising first half. The Stormers ran up an 18-0 lead scoring two tries to nil in the first half. However, once the team's came out of the tunnel after the break the standards dropped and the handling errors and penalties escalated and both teams could only manage three points in the second half - a Boshoff penalty early on. The second forty minutes was not the best spectacle but the Stormers will be happy to get a win - just their second win of the season, in their eight game. It is a win that sees them lift themselves off the foot of the table. They face the Cheetahs next week while the Lions have a bye before setting off for their overseas tour. That is all the LIVE COMMENTARY for this week, but be sure to join us for more live action when Super Rugby continues next week!
