Huget with a great break but as the French chase the game they knock it on and that is the FULL-TIME hooter. The French really played well considering their poor showing in the Six Nations. The All Blacks took their chances and deserved it. You could see it was the first Test of a series. We are off the Brisbane to watch the Reds host the British and Irish Lions.


All Blacks on the attack again. Penalty to the French as the new Zealand players go off their feet. The kick is out just past halfway.


Huget has had a great game up until he got on the wrong side of Rene Ranger. Seems fairly dazed now. The French have the ball just short of the halfway line. Scrum to the All Blacks just on the French side of halfway.


The French are keeping the ball in hand but it is turned over eventually and the All Blacks break free inside the French 22. PENALTY to the All Blacks as the French slow the ball down at the breakdown. Cruden slots the kick and the All Blacks are out of range at 23-13


A bad miss from the French at the line-out but luckily for them Sam Cane knocks it on and they have the scrum on their own 10-metre line.


The All Blacks can't find their players in the backline and Plante hacks forward but Ben Smith is there to dot it down for the 22-metre restart.


At least four reset scrums on the New Zealand five metre line. Seems like Wayne Barnes doesn't want to make a decision. Then he eventually gives the penalty to the All Blacks. Cruden kicks it out just outside his own 22.


A top counter attack from the French after a good turnover. Plante beats Crockett and then Picamoles drops a tough pass at his ankles with the white wash begging. Scrum to the All Blacks on their own five metre line.


France go early at the scrum and it is a free kick to the All Blacks. Read goes quick and the Picamoles doesn't roll away at the breakdown. Cruden will knock the PENALTY over and New Zealand lead 20-13.


Another scrum penalty to the All Blacks. Cruden's kick is pretty good and it goes out six metres from the French line.

Relentless from the French as they drive towards the All Black's line. Five metre scrum to the French after sustained pressure.


The French are starting to really dominate after the 22-metre restart. Lopez puts in a great little chip to the corner and Savea has to take it and run it into touch on his own five metre line.

A knock from the All Blacks leads to a scrum to the French. The French are starting to get into the half. Scrum on the All Blacks 10-metre line.


A good attacking period from the French and they win a PENALTY right in front of the posts. Lopez has taken over the kicking duties and he knocks it over and it's 17-13 to the All Blacks.


Some pretty elaborate rugby from the All Blacks but it is fairly lateral and the French can defend it easily. Knock on from Nonu and the French have the scrum on their 10-metre line. Scrum penalty to the French and they kick it out six metres short of the All Blacks 22.


An early penalty to the All Blacks after a great take from Savea in the air. Cruden has a shot from the 10-metre line and five in from the left-hand touchline. Tough shot, and he pushes it wide. 22-metre restart.


Second-half is underway as Cruden gets the game going. line-out the French off the kick.


The French look pretty dangerous when they have the ball but a little bit of inaccuracy means they can't make proper inroads into the All Black defence. The HALF-TIME whistle goes and it is 17-10 to the All Blacks.


Ma'a Nonu with a great break and then gives it inside the Aaron Smith who drops it off to Sam Cane on his outside who goes over for the TRY. Cruden knocks over the CONVERSION and New Zealand lead 17-10.


A great break from Plante. He takes the loose ball in his 22 and busts through to the All Blacks 22. Fritz tries the chip through but it's charged down. Nonu is in front of the charge down. French PENALTY and Machenaud knocks the kick over. 10-10.


The French do eventually kick but Ben Smith takes on a few big defenders and the puts the foot down and goes through. Throws the inside ball to Aaron Smith who jogs over for the TRY. Cruden knocks the CONVERSION over and the All Blacks lead 10-7


Another free-kick at the scrum for the All Blacks and they attack but the French manage to turn it over inside their 22. The French are battling to get out of their half. They are not looking to kick.


Scrum penalty to the All Blacks as Owen Franks wins it. Cruden kicks it out just inside the French 22.


The French battle to control the ball at the back of their line-out and it goes to ground and they knock it on. Scrum to the AB's on their own 10-metre line.

Another PENALTY to the All Blacks. Plante is in front of the ball and kicks it forward from an offside position. Cruden lines it and cuts it in beautifully. 7-3 to the French.


A half break from Lopez just outside the All Blacks 22 is turned over and New Zealand run it back at the French. The king of the counter attack but the pass goes forward from Dagg to Savea. Scrum to the French on their own 10-metre line.


Scrum PENALTY to the All Blacks as the French scrum in on the tight head side. Cruden, from five metres in from the right-hand touchline pushes it wide. 22-metre restart.


New Zealand have the line-out on the French 10-metre line and Cruden opts for a cross-kick and Huget knocks on a pretty straight forward catch. Scrum to the AB's five metres inside the French 22.


Off the kick the French cannot take it cleanly and it bounces off a French hand into Ducalcon's hand in front and it is a penalty to the AB's. Cruden's attempt at goal is wide from about 40 metres on the angle. The French clear.


A top break from Fritz as he busts a few tackles and then gives it to Fofana on the inside who has enough pace to go over for the TRY. Machenaud kicks the CONVERSION and the French lead 7-0.


The AB's take the ball to the line but the French get a hand in there but they knock it on. Scrum to the All Blacks on the French 10-metre line.

The French get some good go-forward and Lopez drops into the pocket for the drop-goal but he pushes it wide. 22-metre restart.


The All Blacks are throwing everything at the French early. A lot of running to start the game. The All Blacks on the attack on the French 10-metre line but the French get all over it and win the penalty. Huget kicks to touch just outside the New Zealand 22.


It's go-time as the French get the game going. Wayne Barnes is in charge this evening. France playing from right to left. A little run and then Nonu kicks.


Conditions are good at Eden Park. Looks pretty dry. Emotions running high as the anthems are done and the All Blacks line up for the Haka.


Half an hour to go until kick-off in Auckland. The last time these two sides met was the World Cup final and the All Blacks came away with the win. Hopefully it is a little more open today.
