Minute Commentary

Waisea Luveniyali adds the CONVERSION from the touchline and that is FULL TIME. A thoroughly entertaining second half fitting of a Barbarians match has ended. This after a slightly scrappy first forty minutes. The Baabaas showed the class that had at their disposal with some beautifully constructed tries but Fiji also contributed to the occasion with three great tries of their own to celebrate their centenary. Stay with us for more LIVE coverage as Wales host Australia at the Millennium Stadium soon.

TRY - Fiji want to have the last say on their centenary and they get it. A great break from Henry Seniloli gains good ground into the 22 before he puts Alex Rokobaro away in the corner. Great way to end the game

CONVERSION - Pat Lambie adds the extras

TRY - This time Pat Lambie's chip works very well. The flyhalf attacks the gainline from the scrum and puts a little kick over for his Springbok captain Jean de Villiers and the inside center jumps to collect it and dots it down for his second of the game

The Baabaas attack once more and Pat Lambie kicks it across for Willie le Roux but the Fijian defender scrambles there first and dots it down for a 5m scrum

TRY - A chaotic period of play ends with Henry Seniloli scoring in the corner. Willie le Roux chipped ahead and gathers but throws it away to Levani Botia who gets hit high by Duane Vermeulen. Botia offloads to Alex Rokobaro who sends the pass to the try scorer. YELLOW CARD for Duane Vermeulen for the high shot

Fiji force the Baabaas to hold on just 5m from their line and the Pacific Islanders can break. Nikola Matawalu beats a defender with a great goose step but the move breaks down as his pass to Asaeli Tikoirotuma goes to ground

Nothing comes from the attack as the Baabaas send it down the line but a between-the-legs pass from Willie le Roux doesn't find a teammate.

The Fijian defence is really being stretched now as the Barbarians attack is unrelenting. Eventually Coenie Oosthuizen is held up over the try line. 5m scrum to the Baabaas

TRY - Baabaas brilliance! A electrifying move punctuated by excellent offloading. Firstly from Willie le Roux, then Jean de Villiers and finally Schalk Burger unleashes a great pass in the tackle to put Tom Taylor over in the corner. The conversion is missed

Fiji try to hit back run and run it out of their 22m area. Their progress is halted through a knock on from Nikola Matawalu - one of the few mistakes he's made all day

Pat Lambie tries a cross kick now and finds Frank Halai, but the big winger can't reach the flying Jean de Villiers with his offload and Fiji can clear their lines

CONVERSION - Pat Lambie is successful with the tricky sideline conversion

TRY - straight from the kick off the Baabaas launch again with great intensity. Steven Luatua carries it up strongly before offloading to Tom Taylor who finds Jean de Villiers and the captain scores in the corner

CONVERSION - Pat Lambie adds the extras

TRY - Yet again the Willie le Roux-Charles Piutau connection comes to the fore. After some great build-up play le Roux, standing at flyhalf, shows great vision and cross kicks it to find Piutau, who evades a defender with a spin out of the tackle before putting on the pace and scoring under the poles. Brilliant try

The le Roux-Piutau combination is in concert again before Bismarck du Plessis is unleash down the left wing. The hooker is eventually caught but Gavin Williams enters the ruck from the side. Penalty to Fiji just outside their 22

The Baabaas build the phases until Api Naikatini is offside at the ruck. It's taken quickly as Willie le Roux injects pace into the backline once more, he chips for Charles Piutau but the All Blacks winger can't gather it

The scrum is a mess for the visitors once more and the Barbarians loose forwards come rushing through putting pressure on Nemia Kenatale. The ball is hacked through over the try line and Duane Vermeulen dives on it and thinks he's scored. The TMO adjudges that Sam Speight grounded it first. 22m dropout

Fiji's scrum is under huge pressure and the Baabaas win another tighthead. Willie le Roux breaks out from his own 22 with searing pace, running onto a great pass from Jean de Villiers. le Roux finds Frank Halai but the cover defence catches him

It's time for the second half and Seremaia Bai gets us underway! TJ Perenara drops the kick off and knocks the ball on

With Pat Lambie's missed kick comes HALF TIME. The first half has certainly been scrappy at times with that end-of-season feeling but it has been entertaining too with Fiji keen to light up the occasion with expansive running rugby. The Barbarians have also looked to use the ball but have used to their forward strength more effectively, to impose themselves on the game. Join on in 10 minutes for the second half!

TRY - Bismarck du Plessis gets his second of the match. The Barbarians used their forward power to maul it up all the way from their 22m line-out and Fiji had no answer. Pat Lambie misses the conversion

CONVERSION - Pat Lambie converts the try to extend the lead to five

TRY - The famous club side are penalised and Asaeli Tikoirotuma takes it quickly. He tries a kick and is charged down and Duane Vermeulen picks it up and strolls through to score under the poles. The Fijians made no attempt to tackle him, they thought there was a knock on

It's a lot of side to side play though and Charles Piatua is forced into touch just inside Fiji's half. The visitors take a quick lineout and Nikola Matawalu puts a great kick in that reaches touch in the Baabaas 22

Steven Luatua, Schalk Burger and Steven Luatua are becoming increasingly involved in the ball carrying stakes as they Baabaas look to strike before Fiji get their 15th player back.

Santiago Cordera can't hang on to a Jean de Villiers flick pass and another Barbarians attack breaks down, just 15m out from the Fiji try line

Adriu Delai makes a strong run from inside his own half but flicks a pass which Steven Luatua intercepts. Nemani Nagusa enters the ruck from the side and it's another penalty to the Barbarians

The home side look to use their extra man and spread the ball through the ball but Gavin Williams gets man and ball in the tackle and knocks on

Just after the kick off Fiji infringe again and it leads to a YELLOW CARD. Mala Ravulo gets it for a dangerous tackle

Pat Lambie misses the conversion

TRY - The Baabaas launch another attack but Fiji infringe following strong runs from Jean de Villiers and Dominic Bird. They tap it and pick and go again and Bismarck du Plessis is over for the try

Fiji run it out of their 22 again but lose it, and the Barbarians can attack but they lose it as well and Fiji have it again until Schalk Burger forces a turnover. Frantic stuff

This time it's a free kick which Duane Vermeulen takes quickly, the ball is recycled and a quick pass from TJ Perenara puts Matias Diaz away in the corner but he's out. Fiji survive again

The Baabaas win a penalty at the scrum for Fiji scrumming up. Jean de Villiers decides on another scrum

The Baabaas go close again and Bismarck du Plessis has a pick and go from under a meter out following a good run from Santiago Cordera. We go to the TMO to check the grounding... The Video Referee says the footage is inconclusive. 5m scrum

The Barbarians are knocking on the door now. Brilliant reverse pass in the tackle from Steven Luatua to Frank Halai who finds Schalk Burger but he knocks it on just meters from the tryline

Fiji are running it from everywhere today as they launch an attack from behind their own goal line, before deciding to look for touch, and they find it

The Baabaas win a penalty at the scrum and Pat Lambie kicks for the corner again. This time he finds it but there's a knock from Dominic Bird at the line-out

The Barbarians look to strike back and start to get into their stride with some slick handling and sustained possession. Fiji concede a penalty for slowing the ball down. The Baabaas kick for the corner but Pat Lambie overcooks it and sends it over touch-in-goal

CONVERSION - Seremaia Bai adds the extras

TRY! Magical five pointer from Fiji. Nikola Matawalu chips and chases from his own 22m area, before gathering and evading three of four tacklers and feeding the pass to Asaeli Tikoirotuma who goes over under the poles

The Baabaas win the scrum but another knock on ensues. Scrappy start for both sides who are wearing kits that are quite similar.

Fiji look to make their early possession count, but Charles Piutau tries to intercept a looping wide pass but knocks on. Scrum to Fiji

Early penalty against Schalk Burger for not rolling away after making a tackle

It's now time to start. Pat Lambie will kick-off!

The anthems - of Fiji and England - are followed by Fiji's war cry, the Bole (formerly the Cibi)

Both sides are out onto the field. It's almost time for us to get underway

The teams are making their final preparations before making their way out onto the field as the stadium announcer informs the crowd of the starting line-ups

This fixture has only been played once before. In 1970, Fiji pulled off a famous upset when they beat a strong Barbarians side 29-9 in Gosforth

There is some cloud around at Twickenham, but we hope to get a dry match for what should be a festival of exciting running rugby

Meanwhile Fiji's preparations have been hampered by some of their players being recalled by their club sides. However, they come into the game off the back of a good result against Romania in Bucharest last week. They won 26-7

Captained by Jean de Villiers, the Baabaas boast a squad including eight Springboks and seven All Blacks as well as uncapped TJ Perenara who was an unused substitute in New Zealand's last gasp 24-22 win over Ireland last week

We hope for an entertaining game today as Fiji look to celebrate their centenary in style but they face a star-studded Barbarians side.
