The teams are out on the pitch after being greeted by the huge crowd and just the anthems remain before we launch into some Test rugby. |
-15 |
England have lost their last eight games against the Springboks, and the injuries to Brad Barritt and Mike Brown their task would appear to be even tougher this week. The Springboks were highly physical last week and they will look to put their opponents under pressure by tearing into them from the first whistle. |
-20 |
Both teams feel that they can improve on their performance last week so we should be set for an interesting tussle. England will be intent on providing a bigger challenge up front, whilst South Africa are determined to make better use of their opportunities and boss the breakdown. |
-25 |
Conditions are good in Johannesburg, although it is quite cold it is a clear day and we should be set for a high intensity game. The high altitude could also play a role in this match, and the Boks are likely to test the fitness of their opposition by making them work hard whilst England will be out to maintain the intensity they played with in the first half last week throughout the 80 minutes. |
-30 |
Welcome to live coverage of the second Test match between South Africa and England from Ellis Park in Johannesburg. The Springboks made a solid start under new coach Heyneke Meyer in Durban last week and they will be keen to build on that by clinching the series with another victory today. |
