Cooper makes a wing-like break through the middle as the Sharks look to hit back. Fourie is penalised at the breakdown and McLeod taps and goes but Deysel is wrestled into touch.

TRY! Aplon ignites the crowd as he dances past a number of would-be defenders to score under the posts.Van Aswegen adds the CONVERSION!

Mvovo creates a half chance with a chip and chase but nothing comes from it as the Sharks ring the changes. They build some momentum with Zeilinga finding Mvovo who powers over for a TRY in the corner. Zeilinga can't convert but the Sharks are on the board.

The Sharks defend like their lives depend on it and weather the storm.

The Sharks get schooled at the set-piece, Cooper's throw being skew before WP maul the visitors with a power scrum to win a penalty.

McLeod chips aimlessly in frustration and Aplon find touch. The Sharks just can't unlock this WP defence.

De Allende is caught slowing the ball down and the Sharks opt for the line-out above the three points. It turns out to be a costly decision as they lose the line-out and Coleman finds touch.

WP win a heel against the head after a Kolbe knock-on only for Schreuder's kick to slice off the boot and go out on the full.

Carr slices through in midfield with a powerful surge. He's eventually brought down inside the 22 where Marais is penalised. Coleman kicks the easy PENALTY - despite slipping - to extend the lead.

The Sharks have a mountain to climb as Coleman, who's dictated matters, starts the second half.

The Sharks hold up the driving maul from the line-out so that's HALF-TIME! WP are in control and they hold a 15-0 lead!

Aplon follows suit with an excellent break and links up with Kolbe. He goes over in the corner but a great cover tackle denies him of a try.

Van den Heever catches and slices clean through up to halfway. The Sharks scramble back and are blown up, which sees Coleman draw first blood with a PENALTY!

James - in his 50th Currie Cup game - gets us underway!

It's chilly but the rain has stayed away so we could see some entertaining running rugby.
