Minute Commentary

Thanks for joining us and be sure to catch our live coverage of next weekend's semifinals. Until then, it's goodbye from a wet Durban.

So, the visitors come away with the crucial win to extend their unbeaten streak and finish the regular season at the top the log. They'll host the Golden Lions next weekend while the Sharks will host the Free State Cheetahs in the other semifinal.

Catrakilis takes his time to kick the ball into touch and WP win the line-out. The Sharks get the turnover, though, but Vermeulen immediately wins another penalty and WP kick the ball into touch to get the win!

The Sharks secure the ball in the set-piece and patiently chip away at the defence. They string together 10 plus phases before Vermeulen again wins the penalty on the ground.

The Sharks contest the line-out but Catrakilis soaks up the pressure and finds touch.

Catrakilis goes high and De Allende wins the ball in the air. Burger takes up the ball and De Allende follows only to knock-on. Another round of aerial ping pong ensues and ends with Marais finding touch just outside WP's 22.

The Sharks attack with their forwards but Vermeulen wins a penalty on the ground that will relieve the pressure.

The Sharks field the restart and go the aerial route and Catrakilis knocks on the high ball. The Sharks go right from the scrum where Fourie is penalised and given a warning. Lambie, though, misses again!

PENALTY! WP are blown up for offside but Lambie misses badly to the right.

WP win that battle of aerial ping pong as the clock continues to run down. Groom's box kick from the line-out is much too deep but Mvovo, after calling for the mark, doesn't find touch. Lambie punishes another aimless WP kick as he finds touch in the 22.

Reinach knocks on at the ruck which suggests the more tactically astute McLeod maybe should have stayed on.

PENALTY! Coetzee is penalised at the breakdown and Catrakilis extends the lead.

Catrakilis pins the Sharks in their 22 with a good grubber kick. The Sharks are under immense pressure as Fourie wins a turnover before Bismarck returns the favour. WP put pressure on Marais as he clears but the visitors were offside.

Williams knocks on in midfield so the opportunity is lost for the Sharks.

Catrakilis finds touch from the scrum and WP call on Burger and De Villiers.

WP come in from the side so the Sharks set up the line-out on the 22-metre line. They win the ball and Mtawarira powers forward but pressure by Vermeulen leads to a knock-on.

The Sharks secure the line-out but the ball is then ripped free. A kicking duel ensues before Kolbe tries to run from deep inside his half. The Sharks win the turnover on the small wing and Daniel does well to beat Van der Heever and score a TRY in the corner. Lambie lands the touchline CONVERSION!

Marais drives a low kick into touch five metres from the line. WP take it quickly but rush their kick out inside the 22.

Daniel is also on for the Sharks who are made to defend early on. Catrakilis is monstered by Deysel but recovers and goes for his second drop moments later but misses to the right.

Catrakilis gets the second half underway with WP leading by eight and Lambie on at flyhalf for the Sharks.

Mvovo takes a pass to the face so WP have a final attacking opportunity in the first half. A free kick is awarded so Schreuder kicks the ball into touch. That's HALF-TIME! WP lead 14-6! As a side note: Daniel did not start the match as expected and as a result Botes started in his record-breaking match. The reason for the late change is still unclear at this stage.

PENALTY! Mvovo plays the ball from an offside position after Marais spilled a chip through and Catrakilis gives WP an eight-point cushion.

A pass from McLeod to Deysel doesn't go to hand and sees Kolbe kick ahead. Whitehead and Zeilinga have drfopped back and the latter rushes a kick into touch.

The front rows slip in the wet so there are a number of reset scrums before the Sharks get one back by winning the feed with a dominant shove.

Bismarck grubbers through which causes all sorts of problems for WP. The Sharks come away with the ball and Zeilinga tries a second drop-goal but the result is the same as the first.

Schreuder makes a mistake as his box kick is out of the full. The Sharks take it quickly and Zeilinga finds touch in the 22. WP spill the line-out ball so Zeilinga attempts a drop-goal but it's wide.

Marais takes the Sharks into the 22 with some silky footwork and the forward drive it up to five metres out where Vermeulen wins a textbook penalty on the deck.

Bismarck's throw is straight over the top and Ntuibeni is away. Schreuder breaks and tries to toe ahead. WP regain the ball and Fourie scores in the corner but play is brought back to see whether Schreuder had connected with his kick attempt. The TRY is awarded but Catrakilis can't add the extras.

McLeod snatching the ball at the scrum and the Sharks clear. WP set up the ruck where Ndungane steals the ball and finds Deysel. He bumps off one and throws a pass inside; it's knocked into touch by Fourie.

WP put in a strong scrum and win a turnover for their efforts. Who would have thought with the Sharks boasting an all-Bok front row!

Zeilinga knocks on a kick inside the Sharks' 22 but the hosts are let off the hook as Kolisi knocks on.

Fourie is penalised at the breakdown so the Sharks set up the line-out. It's another offside penalty in the red zone by WP and Zeilinga this time lands the PENALTY!

Bismark makes a barnstorming run down the blindside and Steenkamp is blown up for offside. Zeilinga lines up the touchline kick in difficult conditions but misses off the left-hand upright.

Coetzee spills the restart and Catrakilis takes advantage as he slots a DROP-GOAL!

PENALTY! Van den Heever is caught in front of the kicker and Zeilinga levels the scores.

WP secure the line-out and this time it's record breaker Botes who's offside, so Catrakilis kicks the PENALTY!

WP win the line-out on the Sharks' throw and J du Plessis is caught offside.

A frenetic sequence of end-to-end stuff ends with Aplon fielding an attacking kick and finding touch.

Immediately the Sharks put in some thumping hits as Marais fields a kick and clears.

Zeilinga gets us underway at Kings Park!

The rain is bucketing down so we're in for an arm-wrestle.

Both teams are bolstered by a plethora of returning Boks for this important match which will determine which of the two teams earn a home Final provided they win their home semi next week.
