Elton Jantjies gets us underway!

The teams are taking to the field, we are minutes away from the action.

The Cheetahs have stuggled to reproduce their Super Rugby form in the Currie Cup, but with a few guys on Bok duty and a number who returned to the Griquas they have a much-changed pack. Add to that a few more injuries at lock and their resources are being stretched.

The big talking point this week was the inclusion of Jacobus 'Bees' Roux in the Lions team - his first competitive match in South Africa in almost three years.

Just two points separate the Lions in third place and the Cheetahs in fourth place on the standings. WP (16 pts) head the log, followed by the Sharks (15), Lions (14) and Cheetahs (12)

There are a few clouds around, but no chance of rain at this stage. It is hovering around 20 degrees, with a strong breeze. Good weather for rugby, although the kickers will be affected by the wind

Welcome to Bloemfontein, where we are awaiting the Free State Cheetahs and Golden Lions team for our first LIVE game of the weekend.
