Rhodes claims it and they maul towards the line. They are right there and it goes pout to De Villiers and the Sharks were offside so it goes into the corner again.

It goes to Alberts but he loses it forward so Province have a scrum. Kolbe puts Aplon through a gap and he finds De Villiers on his outside. He gets it away to Kolbe who is taken down on the 22 in a high tackle. They kick it into the corner as they look for a try.

There will be key matches all over the park as all the players look to make a final impression before the Springbok squad is named on Monday. The stadium is filling fast now as we get ready for kick-off.

Province last went unbeaten through a season in 1936, so there will be a lot of pressure on them to deliver at home. The Sharks have played up their underdog status as they look to do exactly what Province managed against them last year.

Both teams are at full strength and packed with Springboks, which should make for a great game in front of a sold-out crowd. WP have not lost a game this season, beating the Sharks home and away in the process, so they will be full of confidence, but the Sharks certainly have the firepower to get revenge for last year's home final defeat to the Cape team.

Welcome to live coverage of the Currie Cup Final between Western Province and the Sharks from Newlands. It is the first time Cape Town has hosted the Final since 2001, as Province look to retain their title in front of their home fans.
