Hernández opts for Paris

Fri, 13 Jun 2008 11:45

Juan Martín Hernández will be playing for Stade Français after all.

At one stage during the season it seemed that he wanted to go anywhere but Paris and the preferred destination seemed to be Leicester. He wanted to play for Leicester Tigers. He wanted out of his contract with Stade Français.

Much of it had to do with playing fullback for Stade Français. The player they call El Mago (The Magician) wanted to play flyhalf. But since then David Skrela has decided to go home to the southwest and Hernández's difference with his club seem to have been solved, at least for next season.

Hernández said to L'Equipe: “I am staying here till June 2009. There's no problem, no argument."

But it is not the end of the matter. He said: "I am 25 years old, I'm young and I have time to go an see somewhere different."
