Rugbyrama, the French website, claims that Bayonne, the "other" Basque club, has made Lote Tuqiri of the Wallabies a huge offer.
If speculation is to be believed it is an even bigger offer than that which Dan Carter is speculated to be going to receive from Perpignan.
Tuqiri, a Fijian, plays wing and also fullback for the Wallabies and the Waratahs since switching from league to union. He is now 28 years of age and could give Bayonne good service.
Earlier they tries to acquire the services of Bryan Habana and Wynand Olivier till the Bulls stamped their feet down and said: A contract is a contract.
Rugbyrama has heard suggestions that Tuqiri has been offered €1,5 million - per season! That is more than Carter is thought to have been offered. His was €1,1 million.
Not bad.
