Ireland can leapfrog Australia

If Ireland beat France at the Stade de France on Saturday, they will not only take a big stride towards consecutive Grand Slams, but also break southern hemisphere domination of the IRB World Rankings' top three.
Ireland haven't beaten France in France since March 2000, but a win, regardless of points difference, will see Ireland take over third spot from Australia on the official IRB rankings.
This would equal their best ever position since the rankings were introduced in 2003.
But should France win on Saturday, by whatever margin, Ireland will move down to fifth on the rankings, with France leap-frogging them into fourth spot.
Going into the weekend's Six Nations matches the ranking list reads: 1 New Zealand, 2 South Africa, 3 Australia, 4 Ireland, 5 France, 6 England, 7 Argentina, 8 Wales, 9 Fiji, 10 Scotland.
