Reds' second string rout CASI

The Reds second XV outclassed Argentina's Club Atletico San Isidro at Ballymore, scoring 14 tries in a dominant 90-10 win.
The Reds second XV that was brimming with Reds, Reds Academy and Wider Training Squad talent played an un-tempo game and was rewarded accordingly in a humid Brisbane.
In his return from injury Reds flyhalf Ben Lucas scored a try and kicked five conversions, while Leroy Houston flourished in his role as captain and has now scored tries in back-to-back games for the Reds second XV in 2010.
Back row partner Poutasi Luafutu grabbed two tries as did speed merchants Aidan Toua, Luke Morahan and Paul Doneley.
However, it was Toua's try in the 56th minute that was most memorable, the livewire fullback swerving his way through some tired defence to score virtually untouched after retrieving a kick deep in his own half.
His dominance from the back was matched by openside flank Ed Quirk in the forwards, with the Australian Sevens representative getting through plenty of work.
It took just three minutes for Lucas to get the scoreboard ticking, with the talented playmaker the beneficiary of a line-break by vice-captain and centre Ben Tapuai down the right flank.
His try was one of four in the opening 20 minutes with Morahan, Luafutu and hooker Heath Tessman all crossing before the first interval.
CASI weren't fazed by their slow start and a try from a rolling maul brought the score to 26-10 although a mistake from the kick-off saw the momentum swing back to the Reds second XV and Houston, Morahan and flank Ed Quirk converted with tries late in the half.
Lucas played an instrumental role in Quirk's try; a sharp right foot step allowed him to slip through two defenders before a one-handed offload saw Quirk score under the post.
Their momentum continued for the remainder of the match as the Reds second XV added another 45 points in the second half, coincidentally the same figure that saw them lead 45-10 at half-time.
CASI showed some fight in the early stages following a yellow card to lock Liam Shaw but they weren't able to capitalise.
Wing Paul Doneley made a strong cameo in the final quarter of the game, his two tries coming from relatively long range.
Rising star Liam Gill finished the game with a try after the siren.
