Despite recent reports that his knee might not stand up to Test rugby, Leicester Tigers scrumhalf Harry Ellis is convinced he will be fighting fit for national duty next month.
Ellis has missed three of the Tigers' last four games, but is ademant he has made a full recovery from ligament damage, dispelling recent rumours in the press.
"Everything is fine," Ellis told BBC Radio Leicester.
"I don't know where half the stuff comes from in the media."
Ellis, 26, should therefore return for Sunday's opening Heineken Cup Pool Three match against the Ospreys at Welford Road.
"It's very important we get a good start in this competition [Heineken Cup]," he added.
"It's the biggest competition and the one everybody wants to win."
England on the other hand, have Tests on four consecutive Saturdays in November, against the Pacific Islands, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
The 18-capped Ellis, who has not played for England since the final clash of the 2007 Six Nations, is back in the Elite squad.
Although his Tigers coach, Heyneke Meyer, has already warned that, following the scrumhalf's anterior cruciate ligament injury in May last year, he will need careful management this season.
"If he [Ellis] puts too much pressure on his knee, he's going to get chronic injuries there," Meyer added.
