Tipsy Tindall charged with drunk driving

Wed, 30 Apr 2008 12:52

Gloucester and England centre Mike Tindall has been charged with drunk driving after being arrested near Berkshire in March.

According to BBC News, the 29-year-old boyfriend of Zara Phillips was due before Reading magistrates on May 14.

Tindall was pulled over in his Range Rover Sport near Newbury on his way to Twickenham.

The World Cup-winning centre has had a rough time of it lately.

In February he was admitted to hospital after England's opening Six Nations match against Wales after he suffered a tear to his liver, a punctured lung and serious internal bleeding. He spent several days in intensive care after his freak injury.

No one at Gloucester Rugby Club was available for comment on Wednesday.
