Friendlies have inevitably been taking their toll in French rugby as the start of the Top 14 races closer.
David Auradou, the Stade Français lock, is out for three months after damaging his left shoulder doing a water jump during the club's training camp at Tignes, the resort in the Alps. Auradou has undergone an operation.
Montauban have lost flyhalf Cédric Rosalen who has just joined the club from Perpignan. Rosalen is out for the season after tearing ligaments in his left knee in his club's drawn friendly with Brive.
Bayonne will also be without a new signing for a while. Three-quarter Ben Fall, recently moved from Bordeaux-Begles was injured against Gloucester and will be out for a couple of weeks while his shoulder recovers.
Nicolas Laharrague of Perpignan hurt an ankle against Stade Français and is out for an as-yet undefined period.
Montauban will also be without loose forward Yannick Caballero who damaged his right eye against Brive and will be out for three weeks.
Castres lost two scrumhalves in their easy win over Calvisano. Sébastien Tillous-Borde damaged an ankle and is out for three weeks. John Senio replaced Tillous-Borde and hurt his thigh in scoring a try, but he finished the match and is likely to be fit for the start of the season.
