Pro D2, the second league of professional rugby in France starts this weekend.
Last season Toulon won and then after play-offs Mont-de-Marsan won promotion. Demoted from the Top 14 were Albi (for financial reasons) and Auch. Promoted from Fédérale 1 are Bourg-en-Bresse and, again, Colomiers.
Inevitably there will be much interest in the fortunes of those four clubs.
There will also be interest in Racing-Mètro who were just pipped to promotion by Stade Montois.
Of the five clubs we have singled out only Bourg-en-Bresse are playing at home.
