Toulouse without Elissalde, Nyanga

Thu, 26 Jun 2008 17:59

Guy Novès has chosen a squad of 25 players to represent Toulouse in the Final of France's Top 14 at Stade de France on Saturday. Neither Yannick Nyanga nor Jean-Baptiste Elissalde is in the squad.

Both players were injured in the semifinal when Yannick Jauzion took over from Elissalde at flyhalf. Jauzion has already said that he is happy to play flyhalf again.

In Elissalde's place Novès has chosen Vincent Courrent who, like Elissalde, can play both flyhalf and scrumhalf.

Italy prop Salvatore Perugini was not considered because he has a back problem.

Elissalde and Perugini are the only ones who played in the Heineken Cup Final and are not in this squad.

Those in the current squad whop were not in the Heineken Cup Final are Omar Hasan, Yohan Montes, Virgile Lacombe, Finau Maka, Vincent Courrent, Gaffie du Toit and Manu Ahotaeiloa.

Toulouse squad:

Forwards: Omar Hasan, Daan Human, Jean-Baptiste Poux, Yohan Montes, William Servat, Virgile Lacombe, Alberto Vernet Basualdo, Fabien Pelous, Patricio Albacete, Romain Millo-Chluski, Grégory Lamboley, Thierry Dusautoir, Finau Maka, Shaun Sowerby, Jean Bouilhou (captain)
