Lensing lines up Namibia's duck

Namibia captain Kees Lensing is desperate for his side to end their World Cup with a first victory in the competition. The Africans face fellow Pool D minnows Georgia at Stade Felix Bollaert in Lens on Wednesday afternoon in a contest that should see one of the rivals break their duck. "Just to go to the World Cup is a highlight but I still want us to win," he said. "To come off this World Cup successfully we have to win otherwise I will be very disappointed with the tournament. "It is going to be tough. Georgia have improved a lot since the IRB Nations Cup when they beat us 26-18. They are a whole different team now. "They are a very good team, a good pack and front row. They like their mauls and the pick and go. "We can't defend, we have to go and attack. We will have to be physical just to have a chance of winning." A heroic 14-10 defeat to Ireland secured Georgia's first ever tournament point 10 days ago and has lifted confidence levels to unprecedented heights. But coach Malkhaz Cheishvili is convinced his side can top that display by actually beating Namibia, a team sat nine places lower at 24th in the IRB rankings. Cheishvili said: "We've put together a very experienced team. We're heading directly to victory and we'll certainly play a good game. "Our focus has been a more tight and collective game. We're focusing on keeping control of the ball as much as possible and directing the flow of the game."
