Kings triumphant in Romania
On the National Stadium with its arc of triumph, on a hot, hot Bucharest day, the South African Kings from the Eastern Cape triumphed in the IRB's Nations Cup, beating Portugal 39-12 on Day Three and so ending the only unbeaten team.
Kings rule in Bucharest
With their win over Romania in Round 2 of the Nations Cup in the Romanian capital of Bucharest, the South African Kings of the Eastern Cape go to the top of the Nations Cup. They are the only unbeaten team in the competition.
Two World Cup teams defeated
On the opening day of the Nations Cup in Bucharest, two world Cup teams were defeated. Romania beat Namibia and the South African Kings, a side from the Eastern Province, beat Georgia. In the third match of the day Portugal emerged winners. All the matches were close.

The International Rugby Board started the Nations Cup in 2006 to provide more matches for the second teams of top countries and more rugby for the next level of rugby in Europe, the European Nations =Cup's División 1 teams.

Georgia duly beat their great rivals Russia 15-9 on a rainy day in Sochi, east along the Black Sea from Georgia. They ended the European Nations Cup ('Six Nations B') as the top side.
