New Zealand Rugby Union Vice-President and former All Black great Bryan 'Bee Gee' Williams, who has been inducted into the Samoan Sports Hall of Fame, received more plaudits from the NZRU.
Williams received the accolade at the Samoan Sports Awards held in Auckland at the weekend.
NZRU Chairman Jock Hobbs said the award recognised how much Williams had contributed to New Zealand and Samoan rugby.
"Bryan is one of our living All Blacks legends, and as NZRU Vice-President he continues to be a great ambassador for our game. It is fantastic to see that Samoan Sports are just as proud of his achievements as we are," Hobbs said.
Williams made his All Blacks debut at the age of 19 in South Africa and played 113 games for the All Blacks between 1970 and 1978.
He later went on to coaching at the provincial, franchise and international level as well as serving as a director of the Auckland RFU.
He is the current President of the Ponsonby Rugby club, where he is also a life member and committee member.
From 1991 Williams became closely involved with Manu Samoa starting as a technical advisor and in 1996 became the coach.
