Blue Bulls wing John Mametsa was found not guilty at a SA Rugby Union disciplinary hearing in Cape Town on Monday after being cited for an alleged illegal tackle.
He is free to play for the Blue Bulls at the weekend.
Mametsa was cited after citing officer Luvuyo Matsha found his tackle on Pumas fullback, Nicky Kritzinger, in the 25th minute of their Vodacom Cup match in Pretoria on Friday, to be serious enough to warrant further action, despite the Blue Bulls wing being shown a yellow card at the time.
Mametsa, who was represented by Gerrie Swart, was cleared of the allegation.
