Blue Bulls centre Stephan Dippenaar was arrested near Estcourt on Sunday for speeding, the KwaZulu-Natal transport department said.
Spokesperson Zinhle Mngomezulu said the 21-year-old was caught travelling at 184km/h on the N3 freeway on Sunday afternoon, the Independent Online reported on Monday.
He was arrested and granted bail of R1 500.
The former Paul Roos Gymnasium pupil will appear in court on Tuesday, Mngomezulu said.
