Lensing off to France

Tue, 06 May 2008 23:43

Loosehead prop Kees Lensing is off to play for Castres as a "medical joker" till the end of the season.

There are still six rounds left in France's Top 14.

Lensing, who turns 30 in June, has been contracted to the Sharks and played for the Wildebeest in the Vodacom Cup, unable to make the Sharks in Super 14. He captained Namibia at the 2007 World Cup and played for the Griffons, Eastern Province, the Bulls and Leeds before joining the Sharks.

Lensing will come in the place of Jérémy Castex who has sustained a neck injury.

Castres, who had a great win over log-leaders Clermont Auvergne this past weekend, have props Carl Hoeft, Kees Meeuws and Danie Saayman on their books.
