Italy
All Blacks heading to Rome
Wed, 28 Mar 2012 00:00
Italy has chosen the intimidating 72,000-seat Stadio Olimpico in Rome to host their Test clash with world champions New Zealand on November 17 this year.
The Italian Rugby Federation made the announcement on Wednesday following a Six Nations season in which both of Italy's home matches at the Stadio Olimpico were sold out.
Italy last hosted New Zealand in Milan's San Siro stadium in 2009, with the All Blacks winning 20-6.
While the final details are still being worked out, Italy is also planning to face Tonga on November 10 in Turin, then play Australia on November 24 in Bologna.
