Hala'Ufia's suspension overturned
Fri, 07 Dec 2012 12:39
London Irish No.8 Chris Hala'Ufia has had his five-week ban for a tip tackle overturned.
Hala’Ufia appealed against an RFU Disciplinary Panel’s guilty verdict and subsequent five-week disciplinary sanction after he received a red card for a tip tackle on London Welsh’s Seb Jewell last Saturday.
The appeal was heard – and allowed – by Gareth Rees QC, sitting as a single disciplinary officer at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn on Friday.
Hala’Ufia is free to play again immediately.
