Armitage cited for tip tackle

Four players have been cited following the final round of pool matches in the European Cup and European Challenge Cup competitions.
Toulon fullback Delon Armitage, Racing Metro flank Antoine Battut and Rovigo pair Jean Francois Montauriol and Joe van Niekerk will all appear at disciplinary hearings in Dublin on Thursday.
Armitage is alleged to have carried out a tip tackle on Montpellier fullback Pierre Bérard during the first half of the match at Stade Yves du Manoir for which he received a yellow card.
Battut was shown a red card by referee Wayne Barnes (England) in the fifth minute of the match against Munster at Thomond Park for an alleged strike with the knee on an opponent in contravention of Law 10.4(a).
Van Niekerk was shown a red card by referee Neil Hennessy (Wales) in the 77th minute of the match against Perpignan at Stade Aimé Giral for an alleged tip tackle while Montauriol is alleged to have stamped or trampled on Perpignan lock Guillaume Vilaceca.
