Federico Anselmi refereed the Final of the IRB's Sevens in Las Vegas on Sunday, his second Final on this year's circuit.
Anselmi was also the refereed in the first Final of the current series when Fiji beat New Zealand 32-14 in Gold Coast.
Marius van der Westhuizen of South Africa, in just his second round, refereed the Bowl Final between France and Argentina.
The referees for the Las Vegas Finals
South Africa vs New Zealand, 40-21: Federico Anselmi (Argentina
3rd/4th play-off: Samoa vs Fiji 36-31 in extra time: Anthony Moyes (Australia)
Plate Final: Canada vs Scotland 22-5: James McPhail (New Zealand)
Bowl Final: France vs Argentina 17-12: Marius van der Westhuizen (South Africa)
Shield Final: Australia vs Uruguay 41-0: Michael Kelly (USA)
NB The IRB clearly uses the principle of unattached referees. That excluded four of the eight referees for the Final - the two South Africans, Rasta Rashivenga and Marius van der Westhuizen, New Zealander James McPOhail and Australian Matt O'Brien who is a New Zealander.
