Kirsten to scrum down for Bulls
Thu, 23 May 2013 17:41
The Bulls confirmed on Thursday that prop Frik Kirsten, and not Werner Kruger, would start against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday.
Their names were switched erroneously at Wednesday's team announcement, the Bulls said in a statement.
A final call on the fitness of Louis Fouche and Jan Serfontein would be made at the team's captain's run in Durban on Friday.
Fouché suffered a hip pointer injury and Serfontein a lower leg contusion in last week's win over the Highlanders.
Both players had been bracketed on the replacement bench for Saturday's clash.
Bulls - revised: 15 Jürgen Visser, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 JJ Engelbrecht, 12 Wynand Olivier, 11 Bjorn Basson, 10 Morné Steyn, 9 Francois Hougaard, 8 Pierre Spies (captain), 7 Dewald Potgieter, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Juandré Kruger, 4 Flip van der Merwe, 3 Frik Kirsten, 2 Chiliboy Ralepelle, 1 Dean Greyling.
