Andrew Hore returns to captain the Highlanders in their final match of the season against the Rebels in Melbourne on Friday.

Hore’s return is one of two changes to the starting XV that played the Hurricanes in Wellington coach, Jamie Joseph and the only alteration in the pack.

In the backline, Jason Emery starts at outside centre and Tamati Ellison move to inside centre.

Liam Coltman and Shaun Treeby move to the reserves and Buxton Popoalii drops out of the matchday 22.

The Highlanders are the last-placed New Zealand side and 14th overall having won just three matches this season.

The Rebels have won four games this season and sit 12th.
