Referees for Super play-offs
Mon, 15 Jul 2013 08:25
The referees appointed are from unattached countries.
Jaco Peyper of South Africa and Glen Jackson of New Zealand will referee the two play-off matches in Super Rugby this coming weekend.
The winner of each play-off will go on to the semifinals where the Chiefs and the Bulls lie in wait.
The referees appointed are from unattached countries - Peyper for a New Zealand-Australia clash and Jackson for an Australia-South Africa match in Canberra.
The appointment of Jackson is interesting as SANZAR have stated that Chris Pollock, who refereed the first Wallaby-B&I Lions test was not considered because of loss of form. Jackson has jumped rapidly up the refereeing ladder.
