According to flank Julian Salvi, the Leicester Tigers will be going all-out for a bonus-point win over Treviso this weekend.

Salvi says his side are in a 'good place' despite defeat to Ulster on the opening weekend, and have targeted a full haul of five log points against the Italian outfit.

The 2001 and 2002 European Cup winners kicked off their campaign with a 22-16 defeat at Ravenhill but they left Belfast with a losing bonus point to their name.

And the fact that they didn't head for home empty handed could be crucial come Round Six when the two teams meet again at Welford Road.

Leicester led 7-0 against the 2012 beaten finalists but had to fight hard to salvage something from the game after Jordan Crane saw yellow in the second half.

"We put ourselves in a position to win the game after scoring the first try and quietening the crowd, but we couldn't convert it," Salvi told the Leicester Mercury.

"They got the crowd behind them in the second half and got a few decisions which went against us. In the end, that hurt us.

"It was a harsh call to yellow card Jordan Crane in the second half but, when we went a man down, everyone raised their intensity and we hung in there.

"To come away from there with a point, in what is a long tournament, means that we feel we are in a good place.

"There are five more games to go, and good luck to Ulster when they come to Welford Road because that is our place and that is where we get our crowd behind us. We'll be looking to put in a good performance."

Next up for Leicester is a home tie with Treviso and Salvi openly admits that his side are targeting maximum points.

That aim won't be straightforward, however, not if last year's results between the two teams are after to go by.

The Tigers may have claimed five tries against Franco Smith's men in the East Midlands in December 2012 but they were pushed pretty hard and finished with a winning margin of just eight points.

Things were even tighter in Treviso a week later as only a George Ford conversion with 125 seconds left to play prevented the Tigers from experiencing a shock defeat.

"Treviso are an up-and-down side but are full of Italian internationals. They are quite physical in the forwards and we have to nullify that threat," added Salvi.

"They will try to throw the ball around and disrupt us up front, so we will have to be on our game to make sure that we get four points, if not five.

"We will be going for five points - that's our goal. If we can be on six points after two games we will be sitting nicely."
