Bulls: Pink out; camo in
Thu, 28 Nov 2013 07:47
The Bulls have again gone for 'shock tactics' in 2014.
This past year their variant of pink (Jacaranda purple if you wish) worked a treat and despite some indignant reaction among sections of the public, the away strip was a very popular and sought after item with fans - even in Stormers country, Cape Town.
For 2014 the Pretoria-based franchise will wear an army-style camouflage of khaki, green and brown for away games.
For home games, they will wear a blue variant of the camouflage kit.
They are playing on the fact that camo is designed to make you 'invisible'.
The Bulls may find that the older generation will not be as happy to wear the army-style away jersey, as it may remind them too much of their conscription days in the 1970s and 1980s.
Then again, the Bulls' shock tactics worked in the past!
