Scotland and Glasgow Warriors utility back Sean Lamont didn’t fracture his right ankle during Friday's 28-16 win over Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.
The club announced that tests confirmed Lamont sustained ligament damage but cleared him of a feared fracture.
A Glasgow Warriors statement read: "He will require a further review with the consultant at Spire Murrayfield over the next few weeks to determine the length of time he will remain on the sidelines for. A further update will be provided following this assessment.
“The Glasgow Warriors' medical team would like to extend their thanks to their counterparts at the Ospreys for their assistance on the night.”
