Glasgow Warriors back Sean Maitland is urging the Scottish side to reverse a run of three straight home defeats when they face Edinburgh at Scotstoun.
Maitland's men beat their Scottish rivals 20-16 at Murrayfield last time out in the first leg of the 1872 Cup but have suffered consecutive Pro12 losses on their own patch to Munster, Newport Gwent Dragons and Cardiff Blues in recent weeks.
That is in complete contrast to their form on the road, where they have won all six of their away matches to put themselves in a strong position heading into the New Year with Glasgow currently lying fourth in the Pro12 table.
A second straight victory over Edinburgh Rugby would also mean a fifth straight 1872 Cup triumph for the men from Glasgow - another motivating factor for Maitland.
"Our form at home hasn't been the best recently so hopefully we'll get a big crowd and a lot of support for the second-leg of the 1872 Cup on Wednesday," the Scottish international said.
"It's going to be another tough match. Edinburgh will be dangerous again and so it could be another close game.
"We didn't play well in the first half at Murrayfield but to pull it back in the second-half was really good and it was important to grind out the win."
