Pumas not taking Japan lightly

The squad will be led by Agustín Creevy with a group of 26 players travelling to Japan before Juan Martin Hernandez, Gabriel Ascarate, Facundo Bosch, Felipe Ezcurra and Pablo Matera link up with the rest of the squad for matches against Wales, Scotland and England.

Tomas Lezana, who was absent during the Rugby Championship, and Facundo Gigena, who played several games for the Jaguares, are also part of the squad.

"The goals for this tour is to not move away from what we’re doing. We want to capture on the field what these players have learnt this season, without neglecting the results," said Hourcade.

"Confronting Japan, I think will be very good – we have a lot of respect for them and they are playing some good rugby and we know we have to do our best if we are to beat them."

"The Northern Hemisphere teams will give us a similar challenge to what we confronted in the Rugby Championship, but with a different style of game.
