WATCH: Cheika 'rests' victorious Wallabies for BaaBaas clash
VIDEO: Forwards James Slipper and Ben McCalman will return to the Wallabies after long-term injuries in a squad for this week's clash with the Barbarians in Sydney.
Thirteen players from the epic 23-18 victory over New Zealand in Brisbane at the weekend have been rested ahead of next month's tour of Japan and the United Kingdom.
Wallaby coach Michael Cheika's squad will gather in Sydney on Sunday, ahead of Australia's final game on home soil for 2017.
Front row forward Slipper suffered an Achilles injury in March, while back row forward McCalman was sidelined with shoulder trouble.
Young Queensland back row forward Liam Wright joined the national squad for the first time, featuring in a selection that includes seven uncapped players.
Brumbies centre Kyle Godwin and Reds lock Kane Douglas also forced their way back into the 28-man squad.
The Wallabies have only played the Barbarians in Australia once before, back in 2009 in a 55-7 win in Sydney.
The Barbarians will be prepared by former Wallabies coach Alan Jones for next Saturday's game.
This will be the 13th meeting between Australia and the invitational side, and their first since November 2014, in what was also Michael Cheika's first game as Wallabies coach.
It will also be an interesting clash off the field as well, with Cheika to go toe-to-toe with good friend and former Wallabies coach Alan Jones.
