Beaumont called up by England
NEWS: England have added Josh Beaumont to the squad for their Portugal training camp as injury cover for Courtney Lawes.
Lawes was a late withdrawal from the Northampton side that beat Gloucester 23-20 in the English Premiership on Friday, after suffering a knee injury.
However, he will still travel on Sunday with the rest of the England squad for the week-long training camp in the Algarve, even though Northampton think it unlikely he will be fit for England's opening end-of-year international against South Africa at Twickenham on November 12.
Uncapped Sale lock and No.8 Beaumont, 24, is the son of former England captain Bill Beaumont, now the chairman of World Rugby.
Following their match gainst the Springboks, England face Fiji and Argentina on successive Saturdays at Twickenham before rounding of their 2016 programme at home to Australia on December 3.
