Lawes makes England cut

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: England head coach Eddie Jones has assembled an exciting squad of 34 players at Pennyhill Park to train for the game against South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday.

Sale Sharks forward Josh Beaumont remains with the squad as cover for Northampton Saints lock Courtney Lawes. Lawes was included in the squad even though he was not able to train fully over the last two weeks because of a knee injury. 

The squad spent the past week at a training camp in Portugal ahead of games against the Springboks, Fiji, Argentina and Australia.

Head coach Eddie Jones will name his side to face to the Boks on Thursday.

England, who have not beaten South Africa since 2006, include several uncapped players in their squad.

The uncapped players are Charlie Ewels, Kyle Sinckler, Nathan Hughes, Alex Lozowski, Mike Haley and Ben Te'o.
