Rokoduguni not this week's flavour
NEWS: England coach Eddie Jones has gone against his word of keeping Semesa Rokoduguni after dropping the Fiji-born wing once again.
Rokoduguni, playing in his first Test in two years, crossed in each half as England thrashed Fiji 58-15 last Saturday but has been dropped for the upcoming international against Argentina.
Before recalling the flyer, Jones said that he needs to manage the player well.
"I want Roko [Rokoduguni] to play 30-40 Tests for England and to do that I've got to make sure that what happened to him last time [being dropped after a single appearance] doesn't happen again.
"I've got to manage that player well. I want him to be right to play," Jones said.
However, when Jones announced his 24-man squad, Rokoduguni as well as Alex Goode were omitted.
Mike Brown now looks set to resume at fullback after missing out against Fiji. Meanwhile lock George Kruis, who missed the wins over South Africa and Fiji, is set to feature against the Pumas after recovering quicker than expected from ankle surgery.
Jones will have to omit one more player when he names his 23-strong matchday squad on Thursday, with one of the five back row players set to be dropped.
England have won 12 Tests in succession, including all 11 under Australian coach Jones.
England squad: Dan Cole, Charlie Ewels, Jamie George, Teimana Harrison, Dylan Hartley (captain), Nathan Hughes, George Kruis, Courtney Lawes, Joe Marler, Chris Robshaw, Kyle Sinckler, Billy Vunipola, Mako Vunipola, Tom Wood, Mike Brown, Danny Care, Elliot Daly, Owen Farrell, George Ford, Jonathan Joseph, Jonny May, Henry Slade, Ben Te'o, Ben Youngs.
