The 23-year-old former Blues No.10 was forced off after an hour in Bordeaux's 13-29 loss yo Racing 92 last weekend due to a head knock.

But in a tweet on Friday, Bordeaux said he was also suffering from knee ligament damage and would be out for three months.

South African Tian Schoeman and Frenchman Matthieu Jalabert are set to deputise in his absence.
