Roux called up by Ireland for SA tour
Roux, 25, currently plays for Irish provincial side Connacht in the Pro12.
Before his move to Ireland, Roux played 23 matches for Western Province and four times for the Stormers.
Roux started playing for Western Province in 2011, and was a member of the side which won the 2012 Vodacom Cup, the team's first ever win in the competition.
Roux's performances for Western Province led to a call up for the Stormers. He made his Super Rugby debut in June 2012, replacing Eben Etzebeth in the 51st minute of 19-14 win over the Bulls.
He joins three other South Africans in the Ireland squad – Christiaan Stander, Rob Herring and Richardt Strauss, who have both been capped by Ireland.
Forty-four players will assemble for a 24-hour Ireland camp, following the completion of this coming weekend's Pro12 fixtures.
The players will assemble on Sunday afternoon and disperse at Monday lunchtime, as preparations continue for Ireland's forthcoming tour to South Africa.
The four uncapped players are Matt Healy, Luke McGrath, Garry Ringrose and Roux.
