Leinert-Brown's season is over
INJURY UPDATE: Canterbury loosehead prop Daniel Leinert-Brown will miss his side's National Provincial Championship fixture against Taranaki on October 6.
The Christchurch-based team have been without the services of the prop for a majority of the season due to a neck injury he sustained earlier in the season.
However, the 24-year-old and the younger brother of New Zealand centre Anton Leinert-Brown, has been making good progress but after being reviewed by a specialist last week it has been recommended he needs more time to ensure he recovers well before resuming rugby contact.
The former Highlanders' man will be out for the rest of the NPC season.
